It's old video, and Andy seems prefer warm source.
Weirdly, He rated Onix better than Elite and recent ibasso own DC07 he likes it more and in the end he confused and seems stressed out trying all those dongles and scrap all the ranking.

Well the DC Elite is last year product, it isn't a hype train. It has been tested against time and competitors. Must be something about Andy's product, or well we just hear differently. It's Andy vs at least 20 or 30 experieced audiophiles then, go figure
Some people simple like more colored sound. Truly neutral source isnt for all. Anyway look like i have hard think about amping elite and saw all these xduos amps.. Hm

I see that more and more discoverers have been using multi-quote replies. How's feature that working out for everyone? For some reason, I can't quite vibe with it myself. Too disjointed, I imagine, for my feeble brain chemistry to process.
It can get quite hectic, not gonna lie. Especially trying to pair the correct quotes, quote just a part of any message, rearrange as need be, etc. At least on a phone, which is my most used device to keep up with this wild thread.

For anyone looking for a budget planar, I think the Sgor Luna is excellent. Been testing it all morning with my other sources because I think using the DCE is just cheating. For me, the Sgor Luna is better than S08, Dudu, S12 pro, MP145 and T10. I haven't felt the need to mod.

With the DC Elite it's just bonkers.

I just shared a review video.

Hype train was in reference to the sudden posts here about the DC Elite. And everyone has different ears and taste in what they prefer. Did not mean to discredit the 20 or 30 experienced audiophiles that love it.

The quality of the build is outstanding as you would expect for a product that retails at $399 so the $400 question that does it sound like? Refined, technical, full bodied with details galore!
20240914_144704.jpg

I was taken aback at how every nuance of the music was easily picked put while still retaining the musicality. The sound signature is balanced nuetral with no extra colouration. There's a decent amount of textured detailed bass but this is not a bass head experience it's more refined more correct. While playing my library ir was equally adept at classic rock as it was with classical music. Pop, RnB and country was played back with great air, spatiality and superb wide soundstage. The bass hits were clean not bleeding into the mids that are super clean with added warmth . This isn't to say the mids are thin they aren't they are natural with good timbre vocal both make and female are well rendered there is a slight elevation in the upper mids that give guitars a nice bite but I didn't find them in anyway fatiguing.
Treble extension is spectacular with no distortion or unevenness just a very mature spacious sound.

The design with a single DD and two ba drivers utilising unique structured acoustic wave guides set up which pipes the individual drivers sound directly to the ear with the results meshing inside your ear to provide a unified whole.
The fit of the Fidue Thunder is extremely comfortable with its apple Airpod like earpiece that sits in your ear securely. While being made of aluminium they don't weigh down your ear but the fit is dependent on your earsize, with my large oversize ears I had to utilise some silicone sleeves that I bought off Amazon for a couple if £s I fitted a couple to each earpiece which perfected the fit which when perfect allows the bass to come alive.

Conclusion
I'm mightily impressed with the Fidue Thunder which to date is the best ear bud I've had the pleasure of using compared to the best earbuds in my collection like the LRey Aurora it's hands down superior in every aspect and is genuinely worth the difference in cost. When compared to iems I was amazed at the staging and spacious details that were without compare amongst my large iem collection.

What is your primary music source file?

Lossless?
Lossy?
Streaming?
Youtube?
Vinyl?
CD collection?
Live music concert listener?
Bluetooth?
Qobuz high-res streaming, 100 percent of the time.
“creepy and weird” is such an understatement…
I was trying to be nice, for a change. :)
I personally never got the appeal of sexualized drawings, guess I’m just a realist like that. I can appreciate the art for art’s sake though.
Not only that, but girls that appear to be barely "of age." I have a 25-year-old daughter, so the thought of dudes getting aroused by this bizarre Asian fetish disguised as "art" weirds the f*ck out of me.

Enjoying the multi-quotes, reading and posting. It helps to reduce the clutter and avalanche of daily stream-of-consciousness posts in this thread, which is badly needed.

I think the Pula might be more my type… it would seem the Sl41 wouldn’t be bassy enough or have as much treble fun as the Pula… if I want a more “monitor” sound I do have the H60 and other cheaper ones. Thoughts?

I have these and they're the best Bluetooth adaptors I've heard so far... I wonder if my iPhone 13 pro isn't giving out the best quality codecs that these can take... Another solid reason for me to get the R4 and transfer my music to there. I'm REALLY tempted right now lol.
I rarely listen to Apple Music via my iPhone at all now, due to Apple not having available AptX or LDAC access. I stream mostly from my HiBy R4 or FiiO M11 plus for this reason with AptX or LDAC enabled headphones or Earbuds just due to the Quality sound difference and convenience.

I have the CKLVX D41 which has been said to be exactly the same as PA02, and the SL41 mk2. Imho the Sliivo is better, more refined, with very good treble level and extension, and I don't feel it's lacking in bass.
However, since you have the H60, I think you should keep saving and go for the next level. Or wait for the new releases closer to end of year. I'm hoping for some new Myer Audio bangers soon. Plus the new Performer.

So I see there was a Pula PA01 that was one DD with the same VERY nice shells and way cheaper. Guess it's sold out now? I would have bought it just for the looks hahaha

Edit: I'd totally buy one off someone if they're willing to part with it. Not sure I want to spend the money of the 02 but love the look of the 01 and another great single DD... can't go wrong!
