Some new goodies arrived today. Our custom taxes are getting hefty now, I was sad because I was charged some hefty amount today morning, but upon receiving I was happy lol.
CVJ Kumo, BGVP P05, Effect Audio x HiFiGo Griffin.
Kumo:-
First of all the shell size is big, but surprisingly the set fits nicely. I mean i was super worried when i looked at the pair, but man it fits like a charm. So far i have tried only the stock tuning(all buttons down), and the sound has surprised me. Man, it sounds detailed, a hint of BA timbre is there but i have like 0 complaints, the set is detailed, wide, and instrument separation is really solid and charming over here.

Can't wait to spend more time wit hthis beauty.
Second up is the BGVP P05:-
Build is classic and very well done. Sound wise, it's decent. Maybe it got overshadowed by the amazing performance of the CVJ IEM, but i find it to sound decent. Smooth, inoffensive tuning, and that's it. I personally don't prefer the bullet shaped design much so that's there as well.

Third is the Griffin, a collaborative project between Effect Audio and HiFiGo.
It feels like a shiny variant of Cadmus from Effect Audio Signature Series. Tried it with my Solaris OG and the sound has noticeable improvements over the Virtuoso cable that i was using.
FIIO FH11 is released, skipping this one since I had issues with FD11 design. After all the backlash about the cable, it is weird they continue with it. But I guess it would cost them lots to remake the shell design.

I have two FH11 in my hands, one preproduction that FiiO accidentally sent and a real production unit. Their tonality is slightly different but the tech is similar.
Some key points:
Same shells, same cable (different sheathing, look less cheap now), same semi-proprietary socket.
New type of tips included that fixed the seal problem for me.
Coloured tonality that reminds me of FirAudio XE6 with big, thick, warm midrange. It’s not as insane as XE6, but it goes the same path. Essentially, it sounds exactly like how it graphs, but IMHO, it is interesting rather than disgusting.
The bass is quite satisfying. Impactful and texture.
Acceptable sense of staging and imaging to me. I don’t want to yank these off like some other IEMs.
I still find it odd that a hybrid set is tuned for bassy fun, whilst the DD is tuned for vocal/analytical sound.

Both the EST50 and Neo5 are thicker in their bass notes as they use DDs. I find the 530 to have more clarity and treble emphasis than either of these. 530 is killer with acoustic, jazz and classical but plays well with most genres.
I feel the EST50 is not quite as well rounded.
The Neo5 is more suited to multiple types of music, but would have quite a different sound signature than the 530 with the ISN great with modern music [EDM, Pop, etc].
I like all of these IEMs though as they all unique sounding in their own way.
Hi there,
What is the most comfortable IEM that you know? I'm talking about the comfort as a standout feature, for those that have checked out the Campfire Audio Supermoon Universal, on that level. Almost custom fit out of the box. Sound signature is secondary, 500 bucks max, better around 300.
Second thing: Does anyone have more information about the Simphonio PB10? It's a planar + BA combo for 400 bucks, google doesn't spit out any listening results.
Cheers!

The Custom Art FIBAE 4 is far and away the most comfortable IEM I've ever tried - it's in a class of it's own. They're tiny tiny, and snuggle right in to my ears. This makes sense given TCA started making silicone shell IEMs and custom silicone tips. Sadly the FIBAE 4 is discontinued and rare on the used market. I would assume (though I don't have personal experience with them) that the lower numbered FIBAE models (which use fewer balanced armature drivers) would be similarly, or even more, comfortable.
And of course, just because they work so well for me doesn't mean they will for you - all ears are different!
Note that while I Iove the AAW x TCA Project 4+2 (and in fact prefer it vs the FIBAE 4, sound-wise) it's a much more "traditional" shell design, and not particularly comfortable.
