Interesting. We'll see. I don't have any experience with the JVCs up until now. I really loved the sound of the NRGs when I first opened the box......but after about 35 hours of burn-in it sounded like they had lost that 'wow effect'.
I'm hoping that it will come back soon (I don't play them with a lot of volume, so I don't believe I've blown out the drivers). This might just be a normal phase of burn-in, IDK.
But then again, 'burn-in' might just be in the user's head.

Have pulled the trigger on the HA FW1800, currently waiting for them to ship. A friend of mine who has it says the wooden drivers/shell really gives a very nice timbre, though perhaps it isn't as technical as similarly priced competitors.
But thank you baskingshark for the Massdrop discount info. I have actually purchased a lot of items from there. It has been awhile though. Probably not since around 2016.
Wow, yes I might have to check this one out. Many years ago I used to spend a lot of money on this type of gear. I took a very long break, but it seems like I am getting back into this (very bad?) habit once again

Thank you! Sennheiser ie 600 is in my opinion a right mix of fun and technicalities together. It's a headset that I listen to for hours without ever getting tired. It does not have the technicalities of Indigo Sultan and Thunder, but the level is still high. To date, I find it the best in terms of value for money heard. I find it superior to Ie900 as a general balance. The fit then (together with Ie 900) is the best for me to date.
