So, I got a second Turbulent labs headbands on Massdrop because I figured why not, and I made a mistake I haven't made in a long time. I cracked one of my gimbals! I've never felt the need to buy new ones, so I didn't really know anyone to buy them from, and now I can't seem to find any available to order online (albeit I didn't look very hard). Does anyone know where I could find a decent pair?

Worms is right...Grado are generally helpful and will send the part for free if you live in the US.

Guys, is there a way to safely remove the stock metal gimbals from PS2000e? (I think the same ones are in RS1e and GS series)
There are two screws on each gimbal. Only one of those screws unscrews. The other screw is fixed.
Look at the attached picture, I've indicated which is the screw that you will be able to remove when you have your headphones laying flat with the right side earcup on the right side and the left cup on the left side.
All Grado metal gimbals follow this in my experience.

You might want to cover your pliers with something in order not to damage the finish on the screw when you're unscrewing it. Unscrew it as normal (counter clockwise).

So I got a pair of SR125s(old) and moded them for fun while i barely know anything about sounding couple of years ago.
All i know is these SR125s sound bad(for me) before the mod. They sound horrifying after the mod.
And i look like Shrek wearing them. They were hung on the wall for years.
A fun project though.

Nice. I like the earpad mounting rings on your Flickr album. 3D printed I take it? Beats the hell out of the ugly cork rings I fabbed for my HM5 earpads

Yes, they are 3D printed. And the vents are adjustable. I also made a video of it:
Still experimenting on them. Maybe i will upload them to the Thingiverse later.

@kakaworu Have you considered leaving your work fully woody?
Yes I thought of that back then. But these cans were relatively expensive for me that i wouldn’t dare tearing them apart but only glue wood tubes on them.
Now i wouldn’t consider about making further mod to them because i just can’t enjoy the sound of them.
Does iFi xDSD make GRADOs less harsh more bass? I am thinking to get one of that beautiful thing.
