The 880/600 is on my list to try, but I feel the low end is going to let me down. I am sure I will hear the deep lows, but is there any impact? My HD580 gives me just enough of everything, but I wish it was slightly more detailed and the bass extended a little lower.

If that's the case, I would stay far, far away from the K701/2s.

bose in-ear headphones( I was still a virgin audiophile and do not know any better), the wires started to show holes and peel off(after only 8 months of use).  Sennheiser HD205 these hp's are like bear traps, they clamp your head like a mofo(will be returning it and just save my money on a HD595)

In my younger/dumber years, I purchased some Sony MDR-V150's. Such a mistake. They're better suited for a dog's chew toy.

I had those as well. The only reason I don't regret buying those is because I didn't know any better so they sounded OK to me and I put them through a lot of abuse.

Westone 3 for IEM: There are short periods where I like them. But overall I just can't stand the sound. Where's the mid? Where's the low bass? Where's the high? I'll take the 2 and the UM3X, thank you.

Shure SRH440 for full-size: Sound was okay but not outstanding. Annoying cable for general usage, the thing is so heavy I think it bruises my head everytime I wear it.
