Maybe you should check the bit rate of your mp3 files, the standard (default setting) bit rate of mainstream management software (itunes, windows media player etc) when ripping is 128kbps (or the last time I checked/used them). If you used to listening to CD, mp3 128kbps most probably sounded like trash.
Try reading about Sennheiser Amperior or Sennheiser Momentum or Sony MDR 1R. Momentum and 1R had this stylish look with good sound, while Amperior looks more military.
I don't know about other headphone, as I never trying them.

Try Sennheiser PX100 II (open) or PX200 II (closed). Mind the "II", it means the second generation. I tried both and found them very good for the price.

So I am after some new headphones sometime in the future as I still haven't replaced my last pair which bit the dust.

Now to the fun bit, my music tastes:
So my main music taste is anything from Queen to Creedence Clearwater Revival.

I listen to Vinyl, CD's and on Youtube.

My budget is around £100-£150 and UK buying would be great.

I have been recommended the Audio Technica ATH-900X's, What do you think of these?

I do not currently have an amp and have no plans to buy one any time soon,

Hmm, well the px100 II's look like a great deal and very good sound i cant find enough about its soundstage, and the most i hear about it is that it isnt very good, and same goes for instrument seperation. The px200 II simply doesnt look right for me. Any other suggestions? Or thought's about the soundstage?

Will you use it on the go / road? If not, Audio Technica AD700 soundstage is the best for $100. I don't know if you could get for $80 though, it is usually priced at $100.
For not so big company, Superlux HD668b (around $50) soundstage is awesome.

so a couple of days ago i asked for every single reason why any good £200+ headphones are better than beats, i got a response but it was half done as he said there were more ways they were better than beats, so far he covered soundstage, muddy sound and the drivers etc, what else is there to point out? i need every reason why to persuade my dad to let me buy some good £200+ headphones!

My budget is a little up in the air at the moment, but I probably would not want to go over $400 USD.

Sony MDR 7520--excellent and balanced sound, detachable cable and you can use 1/8th inch male to 1/8th inch male mini cable for portable use, excellent build to stand up to years of studio and very efficient--no amp required.

Usage is only for appreciating original recording's music with a loud clear vocals,music effects & original soundstage.
For travelling purpose too but not when walking under the sun.
 
Also, for high impedance headphones, what kind of amp should I be getting? I hope not to get bulky amp due to frequent usage and moving around. Any thread can recommend me?

I was very tempted to get ultrasone but I think the frequency & impedance rate is pretty much like my current can.

Your request seems to be largely unfocused and in need of some research.  Questions about tech matters need to be raised in the sound science section of the forum.  I also suggest that you review the buying guys linked in the opening post of this thread.  That will help you to focus and define your questions--and may even lead you to an answer.
