My A900s are getting older, and over the past few months have started to make a lot of creaking noises when I move my head.  Is something like a silicone lubricant the best option?  Or is there something better suited for plastic that doesn't leave a mess?  maybe a graphite powder?

My A900s just made a popping sound while I was wearing, them and when I took them off to inspect them, one of the support arms for the right ear cup had a large crack running though it, and the cup was noticeably looser on that ear.  I super glued the crack, and I'm hoping that they will stay...

If I buy a set of cans that require an amp (say, some DT990s for example), can I plug them into my home theater reciever instead of an amp? Or will I still need an amp inbetween the reciever and the haedphones?

Everywhere I looked so far, says they sell the 250 ohm version of the 770s. Do you have to special order the 80 ohm version from the manufacturer? Or am I just not looking hard enough? P.S. Just to make absolutly sure one last time, the DT770-80s sound great without an amplifier, correct?
