Best neutral IEMs around $150?
What is your impression of the Fiio F9 pro? Is it neutral? And how is the sound compared to the GR07 u had?- TripBitShooter

Best neutral IEMs around $150?
It seems good for its price, but then and again its price is low, and is probably outclassed somewhat by the RE600 and Vsonic GR07 i mentioned?- TripBitShooter

Best neutral IEMs around $150?
I have been using headphones almost exclusively until now, but got sick and tired of having to constantly worry about peeling and hardening of headbands and earpads, so i decided to switch to IEMs (at least for outdoor use. Home use is still my Sennheiser HD 598). i just want as neutral as...- TripBitShooter

You Know You're an Audiophile When.. Version 2!
oh then I say that trade is definitely worth. Then if u don't like the 10R u could sell it for cash and get something else u like, maybe a lower priced portable can for trips.- TripBitShooter

You Know You're an Audiophile When.. Version 2!
I don't really recommend the 10R. The bass is horrible. Bloated and out of control. All mid bass thrown everywhere.- TripBitShooter

You Know You're an Audiophile When.. Version 2!
There is now a potential competitor around the price range of the SR80e actually. The xiaomi Mi headphones, which are also open backed, came out for a very similar price, and looking at the performance of their Xiaomi Piston 2, which is an absolute bargain for its price, this Xiaomi Mi headphone...- TripBitShooter

New Audio Technica ATH-M50x with Removable Cable
i personally find vocals to be a problem on the M50x actually. The mids are slightly recessed, so female vocals and powerful deep male vocals lack fullness and sound nasally due to the forward treble. But u can still hear them. At least they are clear to a certain extent.- TripBitShooter

Fiio E17k Alpen 2
Many DACs are PCM convergent, like the E17k, where they just convert DSD to another format, so if u want to hear your DSD files without conversion u should look elsewhere.- TripBitShooter

(NEW) FiiO E12A for IEMs!
Don't we all sometimes want bass boost but feel so bad for 'tainting' the music? :D And this thread which I made is going strong! Nearly a thousand posts! Keep up the good discussion!- TripBitShooter

NEW! iBasso D-Zero Mk2
This thread is going inactive, I know, but I just want to ask if I should get this when the E17k is just $20 more here in Singapore. I read reviews that the E17k is quite warm, which I don't like, and the reviews I read of the ibasso say that it is relatively neutral, and I want to know which is...- TripBitShooter

New Audio Technica ATH-M50x with Removable Cable
u should let it burn in. My M50x sounds nothing like that. An u should remember that the M50x is relatively cheap- TripBitShooter

Moreover, when it reaches Singapore, where I live, it will probably be the exact same price as it is in China, as with all other xiaomi phones. Benefits of living in an Asian country I guess.- TripBitShooter

You Know You're an Audiophile When.. Version 2!
This xiaomi mi note pro is literally what I have been waiting for. It has such a powerful processor, crazy high resolution display, awesome battery, 4GB of RAM (ikr), and best of all, the ES9018 DAC paired with TI's OPA1612 amp! And it costs half the price of a Samsung galaxy S5 without...- TripBitShooter

My computer's bass is severely deficient, lacking a lot of extension and the stereo image is very narrow- TripBitShooter

The buses in my country are like 95% Mercedes-benz, the rest are all volvos. I find them pretty comfortable, but still way too noisy to listen to music properly- TripBitShooter

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones Part II
^^oh i will be darned if the apple logo actually adheres to the golden ratio. I did that as part of a maths project 2 years ago. And it seems like they did put in a lot of effort to make a good logo... But most people won't actually be affected by it, except those who know what actually went...- TripBitShooter

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones Part II
And I know logos never matter to audiophiles, but I always like to bring this point up when arguing with my friends why apple is lousy, before bringing up all the tech specs which seriously suck. Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones Part II
you should see both sides of the argument before saying mine makes no sense. At least audio Technics's logo is related to an audio component, the sennheiser logo is a very artistically and sleekly designed S and PSB stands for the founders, Paul and Sue Barton. However, apple's logo is not as...- TripBitShooter

(NEW) FiiO E12A for IEMs!
Its OK skerry. I just hate how the E17k still sounds warm, as bowei006 stated in his review. Right now I'm gunning for either the iBasso D-Zero MK2 or the FiiO X1- TripBitShooter

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones Part II
I like to say my friends who are apple fanboys, "why would u buy from a company who has a half eaten apple as their freaking logo?" And 1-for-1, android phones nearly always beat apple phones on every count.- TripBitShooter

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones Part II
Apple will probably never add compatibility for SD cards in the near future, as they want to make money off selling the same Iphones/iPods with bigger storage space- TripBitShooter

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones Part II
I always hated apple's refusal to add micro SD card compatibility to their devices. Plus, their devices can never be customized in a way that android devices can unless u jailbreak them.- TripBitShooter

NEW! iBasso D-Zero Mk2
I definitely have not heard either the E17k or iBasso D-Zero MK2, but what I know is that the E17k shares the same PCM5102 DAC with the E10k. I'm not sure about the amps though.- TripBitShooter

want new open backed headphones, around SGD180
Really? Well, my parents do object strongly to me spending time meeting unknown people to buy second hand stuff or buying stuff online as its rather untrustworthy. Moreover, $80 is like less than half my budget. I'm going for something a lot better. I also will not know whether I like the sound...- TripBitShooter
