If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Haven't posted for a while and noticed that this thread has gotten really technical. But that's good! Just want to say that after 10 years of owning several in ear phones, the ER4 is still the best. I often got lost wandering around trying different IEM's but I always end up going back to my...- leonsphinx

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
Am not sure if this question has been asked already...does anyone have an issue with regards to the swiveling port? After 2 months of use I haven't got any problems but since it is a moving part, I'm concerned if there will be some loosening at one point- leonsphinx

Had the DBA2, used it for 3 mos-> channel imbalance. Tried the B2, used it for 4 mos -> channel imbalance. I gave up on these two a long time ago...moving on- leonsphinx

Not impressed with Etymotic MC5
I read the previous posts on this thread and no one seemed to mention amping the MC5. There are IEMs that don't do well or even sound worse with an amp, such as the FA DBA-2 and FA eterna. I know the MC5 is meant to be portable and used straight out of an ipod considering that it has volume...- leonsphinx

SansaClip+ Rockbox Impressions thread
got my clip+ 8G 1 month ago and had no problems running either stock or rockbox. best thing is to send back the clip for exchange (if with warranty) coz it may be a player specific problem Quote:- leonsphinx

As per my observation, you can insert them deeper if worn over ear, in effect, better isolation, better sound esp the bass Quote:- leonsphinx

Brainwavz B2 Impressions & Discussion Thread
Tried the Ety triflange with the B2s but didnt work for me. I think the preferred tips for the B2s are single flanges so you can insert the nozzle well deep into the canal. Athough you can insert the triflanges deep enough, the nozzles remain distant from your eardrums and this sort of distorts...- leonsphinx

I really doubt about this "burn in" effect. Was using my DBA-02 for over a year and just had my B2's recently and after comparing both, they sound 95% the same. Quote:- leonsphinx

Had a similar problem with the tips being left in my ear. A simple solution is to put some sticky tape around the nozzle to get a tighter fit so the tips are more secure Quote:- leonsphinx

Brainwavz B2 Impressions & Discussion Thread
I own both the Hippo VB and FA Eterna which are considered as bass heavy IEMs and comparing them to the Brainwavz B2, the B2 is definitely not lacking in bass, both in quantity and quality. I would surmise that if you neutralize the upper frequencies (treble), they would probably sound as bass...- leonsphinx

Rank the IEM's you've heard
made a posting here a few months back. Just an update DBA-02 = B2 > ER4S (amped)>Eterna v.2>UE SF5 pro>RE0>Hippo VB>Ety MC3>other cheaper IEMs DBA-02 sounds more or less the same as B2 so they're equal. I have an ER4P with a 75ohm transforming it to ER4S. ER4P (unamped) would...- leonsphinx

After 2 days of comparing the B2 with the dba2, I noticed more bass presence with the B2. I have to up the low frequency with my cowon s9 by a notch when using the DBA-02 Otherwise, they sound the same- leonsphinx

Quote: Have you tried using the small stock single flanges? I mean, have no idea with the size of your ear canals but in most of my other IEMs, I use the medium size tips and its only with the B2s and Etys that i use the small single flanges. I can actually insert them deeper than the...- leonsphinx

Tried the Ety-s tri-flange but didnt work for me. I like using the small single flange to get a really deep insertion. I also use the same tips with my Ety ER4P. Was never a fan of tri-flanges Quote:- leonsphinx

Concise Multi-IEM Comparison (FINAL UPDATE March. 1st, 2013)
First of all, just want to congratulate ClieOS for such awesome reviews. The first time I bought an IEM, it was ClieOS's reviews that provided me with the most information and out of the 10 or so IEMs I have purchased, I regreted buying only 2 of them (which i only bought out of curiosity). Same...- leonsphinx
