Thanks for the response. I just noticed that the 650 cable is 1/4 inch and I was planning on picking up the HD 25 as part of a future portable rig. I will see what the stock cable has to offer before looking at potential replacements.

Quick question for those who have replaced their cables: Is it as simple as plugging out the stock cable and plugging in, say, part 092885 (HD650 cable)? The phones and the cable would come out to about $120 and i'm thinking it might be a steal.

Also important is that it is part of a 24 hour sale. The clock is at 16:06:00 and counting down. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this deal. Certainly a luxury purchase but $99 seems like a steal.

The 1001s are the model that replaced the 1000s last year, you got the right phones. I'm pretty sure the specs are the same.
