I can only speak for myself of course but I'm definitely both a basshead and a metalhead. The two are not necessarily inherent but they're not mutually exclusive either. But you're right, a lot of metal is a little light in the subbass department. That doesn't stop me from trying to pump it up...

Very curious what these can do for metal of the more extreme variety. The mid-centric / not too hot up top signature might prove really sweet, provided the bass keeps up, the snare cracks as it should and the guitars have enough bite... Anyone tried them yet with some black, doom, death, grind..?
