Should just happen - always did on my S7... Is bit perfect mode selected in UAPP under 'USB audio'? Also, you may need to select up to 24/192 output on Qobuz when in UAPP. Click on the cog icon at the top of the Qobuz home page in UAPP and select 24/192.Hello everyone!
I just downloaded UAPP and am loving it so far. I am using an old Samsung S7 Edge running Android 8.0.0 in conjunction with my Hugo 2.
UAPP is doing a great job of feeding my Hi-Rez files to the Hugo 2, but I am having a problem with the built-in Qobuz functionality: the Hi-Res files are playing at a maximum of 44.1/16 bit. (I have the settings on max sound quality within UAPP.)
Can anyone provide some guidance as to how I can "unlock" Hi-Res streaming for Qobuz wihin UAPP?
Thanks so much!

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
Hello, thanks for your replyI also access through QoBuz, and while the top part of the screen lists individual songs, below that are all of the albums by the artist. You man need to press the search "enter" key to load them fully.

I had a non -Qobuz problem in UAPP that may help. I could not turn Bit Perfect off, so my non-MQA songs would not be played in Hi-Res.Hello, thanks for your replyStill, it does not have the same usability / functionality on my phone. Is there a way to reset the UAPP on Android? I didn't have much time to check it.
Under -settings-
1) internal audio driver- is hires direct driver =on? (It should be)
2) under ‘internal hires audio’
—hires driver flags should all be unchecked
—hires driver audio format should be auto
—bit perfect = on when possible. You should be able to toggle this on or off to play hires.
—upsample = off
On my Android player (R8) this allows nonMQA PCM and DSD files to be upsampled by the device rather than by UAPP. But R8 has that capability, your device may not
Most importantly, email the app developer. Davy Wentzler is very responsive and will help you work thru your own situation. His email address is <info@extreamsd.com>
Thanks for your suggestions, I appreciate it, but my "issue" is with how Qobuz works from within UAPP. All the rest of my settings are already set up according to UAPP's recommendations which coincide with yours, as well. I think I will email the developer directly, together with a couple of screenshots. Thanks againI had a non -Qobuz problem in UAPP that may help. I’ve noticed Since a recent update that I’m getting crackling artefacts with UAPP On my Sony a105. Doesn’t seem to matter what source, local or tidal nor what quality, 16/44 to MQA all same. Any idea? Buffer maybe?

I just checked mine and I did not notice any crackling. I do have the buffer at the max frames although I don't know if that was the default or not... I do have the beta of UAPP (never turned that off in Google Play).

I had my TIDAL MQA running through my LG.v40 for almost 3 years no problem. That is 1 unfold then to my MQA less DAC (which crushes the DAC in the v40 IMO).
I decided hey let's enhance my settings so I never have a cut interrupted again. Not good. Sporadically I've gotten it to work over the last few weeks, but other times no. Ere msg: "Error in getstream URL3: user does not have a valid session"
Advice? Ideas?
Thanks

I apologize if this has already been discussed. Trying to play dsd files over LAN with a Hidizs S9 Usb Dac (which has native support up to 512) gives "Error decoding" message
Same files played from internal storage have no problems. Is this a known limitation of UAPP, does it depend on network speeed, or what else?

What file transfer protocol are you using? Samba normally works with dsd files. DNLA may have problems.I apologize if this has already been discussed. Trying to play dsd files over LAN with a Hidizs S9 Usb Dac (which has native support up to 512) gives "Error decoding" message

I see Samba V2/V3 in the properties of 'Network Station' (other possible choices are FTP, Samba V1 and WebDav). If I set bit perfect to 'when possible', and i try to play the same files directly in my phone (Samsung Galaxy S10e) it takes a long time buffering but then it starts (even if I don't know if it is converting to pcm), so maybe it is a buffer issue? And in that case which option should I change?
Try smb v1 and also try the minimum buffer size

Tried both: with v1 I cannot anymore access my share, I could change settings server side but I'am afraid of messing up connections with other devices. Changing buffer size didn't solve the issue. Maybe I will write to the developers to ask for suggestions.Try smb v1 and also try the minimum buffer size

Thanks to @Davy Wentzler who has pointed out that smb protocol has speed limits (about 5 to 6 MB/sec) that make problematic streaming DSD files. So I tried the UPnP way, by installing Minimserver 2.1.2 in the Windows Pc I use to stream (Windows Media Player does not support dsf files) and now everything seems to work.
