The 820 look promising. Detachable cable over ear and for 149 Euros.

Does the Go not look promising? Just curious (they look pretty nice to me).

Knowing Ultrasone over-ear "comfort," this might be an exception. XD

LOL!  Indeed.  That's why no more stock pads on my HFIs......

Both the EdM and the Go are available now in Hong Kong..........probably Japan as well. Both look real promising. Despite the full metallic construction, the EdM weighs like a feather. Incredible engineering.

both are entry levels of better headphones as far as I understand.

Seems like Ultrasone is not trying to push anything new in flagship territory, eh?

Well, yes or no. Many doesn't really consider the Ed8 and Ed5 portable at all (myself included) so the EdM is THE flagship portable headphones of Ultrasone right now.

Ed5 and ed8 might be the most expensive portables ever made, but they are quite portable, the cables are average in length and not too thick, they do isolate, no microphonics, they were thought to be portable.

This, and I dislike on ear designs, which ed8 is borderline on ear.

Hmmm.  I don't know about pushing anything in the flagship territory.  They have pushed the Ed8 into various models (Ruthenium, Palladium, Romeo & Julia), the Ed5 (unlimited & limited).  Throw in the Ed12 and the Ed10 is still hangin' around.  I've been trying to get an Ed7 for years.  No luck..lol

They might be trying to fill the gap that was left after the HFI-580 and tone down prices, albeit a bit more portable  The performance series (840, 860, 880) is still up there in competitive prices, but enter the 820 now.

Cheers!
