Does anyone wearing these get a static/rattle on really bass heavy music? I've been trying to listen to various types of music and on Run This Town-Jay-Z the bass beats are really heavy and I'm getting some static everytime a beat hits.
Lol dude my bad... I thought we were talking about Grados... I have no idea what that would be then
I can keep my Ety's with Shure Olive's in my ears forever without discomfort. I think it has everything to do with how enormous the bore is on the TF10's. Compared to any other IEM I've ever tried, it's huge. (With the exception of a cheap pair of Skull candy's which had bores almost as big as my ear canal, without the tip.
The $100 or so to reshell is going to be money well spent.
The triple fi reshelling group buy is now available! http://www.head-fi.org/t/582900/ultimate-ears-triplefi-10-custom-reshelling-group-buy-at-least-15-off
I posted this yesterday, but no reply. I'm hoping someone can shed a light on the sound signature:
I ordered these on the black friday deal.
I will not be able to get them until I return from a business trip, but I just had a couple questions to run by owners here.
I have a pair of Shure 535s, and I love them. Perfect midrange and vocals. I'm gathering that these are pretty much the opposite.
Are the mids and vocals recessed? I'm assuming I'll notice it even more going from the Shures.
I am buying these as a back-up pair, but it sounds like they might compliment the Shures nicely by being a better earphone for electronic.
What say you?
Received mine last night. Wow!! These sound amazing and for $99, they're a steal!
I do a have a question. The cables are suppose to go over the ear, correct? If that's right, then mine are marked incorrectly. The one with the "L" will only go into my right ear and the one with the "R" will only go in my left. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it just a cosmetic error? Is that why they were so cheap?
