*******it i was gonna buy one of these but I have no budget for the whole month:frowning2:

Sony MDR 7550 Professional - $350 MSRP

$180

$204

Word here is that MDR 7550 is basically a rebranded North American version of the Japanese EX 800ST made and tuned exclusively by Sony Music Communications Inc. of Japan... the same Sony department who makes the CD 900ST.  These ain't Sony consumer electronics grade.

For Canadian's (and Head-fi members who know a Canadian  ) Future Shop has the Monster iSport Livestrong Immersion In-Ear Headphones (MHISRTIELSCTWW) - Yellow IEM on sale for $49 from $170 (note the website is not reflecting this price so this may be an in-store and possibly localised sale, the Calgary Shawnessy store for certain). Despite the color choice (Yellow) I decided to grab a pair since FS has such a simple return policy. So far I am liking what I am hearing for the price tag and also like how they are designed. They are a bit tricky getting in ear but once they are there they stay put and are comfortable (I have noticed some pain from the wings after an hour+ listening but am thinking I just need to use a smaller wing so will post back if they get more comfortable). These isolate pretty good and seem like a bargain for a sport model IEM considering they don't seem to compromise on sound quality in deference to sports functionality.

For those interested in what I am talking about here is the URL from Future Shop

A bunch of Monster phones on sale. Including:
Monster Turbine Copper for 180$
Miles David Trumpet (ControlTalk) for 170$
http://monsterproducts.com/summerspecials/

Even though the coppers aren't on sale for much less than msrp (supposed to be $210, $430 is a lie), i'm tempted.

Yeah, i was thinking of street price. My bad.

Are they good at $180? I need some portables and was thinking v-moda m100's but i think iem's would be better for portability, and these seem to be really good.

I think you should be concerned about durability. Monster products aren't built to last.

But it's not a discussion topic, you should search info at the many products threads. Very easy to find.
