Earsonics SM1 $99 on Amazon. SM2 $179. Those are crazy good headphones for that price. I think most here would prefer the brighter more analytical nature of SM1. SM2 darker, more bass punch.

Am I wrong here, but isn't the $99 deal on the dual BA (made in France) SM1, kind of a screaming deal? Dual BA - EU made - Detachable cable....

What am I missing? Why haven't I spent $100 yet?

The only thing I would like to know is who actually made the dual armature driver.

I pulled the trigger - the same Amazon seller has the SM1 on ebay for $150 - I wonder if it is a TWFK - based on minor research, I don't think it is.

The SM1 is a single BA - so it can't be a TWFK.

According to the Earsonics web site, it is a single Dual BA with a 2-way crossover:

It seems Best Buy has more stock of the refurbed XBA3ip. I bought it the last time it was mentioned on here and I swear they are new. There was no marking whatsoever on the box that they were refurbished and they were in the reatil box not the usual white Sony refurb box.
