Got the XBA-3ip today and let me tell you that they are going back to Amazon, they sound so unnatural and bright and I like bright sounding earphones. They have no comparison with the SE535LTD it maybe because I am spoiled by my Shure Ear monitors I don't know, so everyone know the sound signature I like I like the Ety's sound and the Sony XBA is like nothing in comparison, they kill the songs.  Tried to listen to Deep Purple's Machine Head and Ian sounds wrong with the Sony XBA-3ip earphones

With this said I will send them back tomorrow.

Just out of curiosity, did you buy these from the 3rd party fulfilled by amazon (the link i posted a few days ago)? Or did you buy them from the Groupon?

Too bad, mine did not arrive as yet....Coming from TF10 I did not like 535 bronze for thick and lush midrange…535 red may have better highend…I may end up returning XBA3 and buy 535 red or wait for GR08

I have never heard the normal SE535's but to me the SE535's LTD sound really big and full, I do listen to Metal and "Classic Rock" so they fit my needs really good.

I feel the XBA-3 went well with dance music & XBA-1 goes well with the slower music (rock, pop, country etc.)

I wished I bought those for that price cause I paid almost $210 couple of months after its release here.

Waiting for 2 & 4 to come down in price

Comparing a headphone which was used headphone for $165 to a brand new headphone that is now $217.12, is not exactly what I would say average.
