That's really critical to note on these considering how many people here on head-fi have had to send back their MMDTs due to strain reliefs breaking and shells coming apart.

I don't think I'd chance those with only a 90 day warranty.

Yes, the warranty says 90 days. Though given that many of those having purchased brand new MMDT have received the Trumpets in place of the Tributes when the Tributes broke, wouldn't it stand to reason that refurbished Tributes would result in Trumpets if something happened to the refurbished model within the 90 days?

At that price, a square trade warranty would be cheap. You could almost guarantee getting a pair replaced within a three year period.

Huh. Let me know how those sound. I keep meaning to try the newer monster IEMs.

I bought a pair of the Refurbished Monster Gratitude iems last week, they arrived yesterday along with a pair of Sennheiser ie8 I traded for. All my available listening time went to the ie8's yesterday, and I had convinced myself I was not gonna like the Gratitudes...Well today I finally got a chance to open up the package that came from Monster, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my "refurbished" pair turned out to be brand new!

I've been listening on and off for the last few hours to the Gratitudes and initial impressions are VERY favorable
