I asked for $180 for coppers and got rejected?..

Yeah, the 180 was for asking about the Golds not Coppers.  Copper and MDs are roughly similar in price.

Picked one up. Gonna compare with my CK10, UE700 and MTPCs. Hopefully I'll like them.

Phiaton PS 200 Sound Isolating In-Ear Earphones with Dual Micro Transducers (Woofer andTweeter) $145

Amazon has had these on sale for some time, but because I don't think they are getting the attention they probably deserve I'll post the sale:
http://www.amazon.com/Phiaton-PS-200-Transducers-andTweeter/dp/B001EUDUFC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1303221331&sr=8-1

They have gotten good reviews, ljokerl reviews them favorably on his listing, giving them an 8.9 for sound (better to read the actual review of course).

Anyway the official Amazon non sale price is $249, but I think the street price is closer to $199. At $145 these are bargains.

You'll be glad you did.  Let them burn in for a day though and give them plenty of power.  No offence against joker, but I think he should raise the sound quality rating of 8.9 on his review.  It is his review and his ears, so I respect his decision. But I would rate them higher in direct comparison to other IEM's we have in common.

I saw this in my inbox as well. That's a buy now, regret it later price. The only problem is that they're not returnable if they're not to your liking. Still, for $24 I'm willing to eat it.
paying California tax kind of sucks but I get things from meritline in 1-2 days so Its like paying for faster shipping. :)

From my experience with their SQ, I wouldn't care if they are fake or not.  But, I wouldn't be surprised if they are sold from meritline because their SQ like cheap Deal Xtreme headphones.  I bet they are mass produced from China, and probably ligit if from meritline because quality of products they have is cheaply built Chinese stuff.

is the headphones sold from meritline legit? As i dont see them on the list of authorized retailers on the meelec site.
