There's a bunch of them ranging from $30.40 to $31.06 for me.  Probably return stock.  Some are "Like New", some are "Very Good" and all are from Amazon Warehouse Deals.

I think he's in disbelief that your wife will give you grief over spending $30.... to which I will say resoundingly... YES. I can relate.

Oh hahah! I thought he meant "Over $30" as in that were over $30!   No, its not the money, its more the fact of how many headphones I have and how many I've *had* which have been since sold.

It isn't the $30. It's the buying another headphone. If only women could relate our headphone addiction to their shoes addiction.

Too true.  Though, she is taking it better than when I had my surge protector/power filter addiction.  Don't ask.  I have some pretty interesting commercial/industrial stuff still laying around.

Amazon also have the AKG K81DJs brand new for $33.99 from seller Abes of Maine.  Shipping is free!  Very well regarded budget portable set with booming lows and a high clamping force.  (I hope I'm not spamming this thread)

Are there still any good prices available on the TF10(vi?) in Germany/Europe? I bought mine at Amazon cyber monday 1.5 years ago for 110€. They've been available for 80-100€ again once or twice last year, though unfortunately I didn't buy any. Now the cable of mine broke, and amazon offered me to return them for a full refund. It sounds good, given the age (1.5 years), and since I have to replace the Comply tips anyway -- plus I'm a little afraid to rip out the inards when replacing the cable. So if only I could find a new pair for 100-150€...

Yeah... I think you didn't read all of my post.

If I replace them myself, I have the risk of ripping out the inards, which will cause further trouble regarding the warranty. Plus I have to buy some Comply tips, say 10-20€. Moreover, the warranty will terminate in about eight months, and the IEMs have already been used for 15 months.

If I return them, I'll receive a 125€ refund. Together with the savings of the Comply tips, I'm at about 140€. If I could find a new pair, with further 24 months of warranty, for said 140€, it would be much preferrable, don't you think so?

There are 2 tiny prongs on the end of the cable that plug into holes on the earpiece. Just pull the cables off. There are whole threads dedicated to all of the different aftermarket cables available for it. This is also how a lot of folks reverse mod them to wear the drivers in opposite ears. There is almost no way you could damage the internals by taking the cable off. Unless maybe if you use a pair of pliers.

Amazon has the AKG K181DJ (not to be confused with K81DJ) for $98. These go for $129 most places. Not my cup of tea, but they have a fold flat design with removable cable (mini XLR plug), and some Head-Fiers have apparently modded them with Blu-tack to tame the bass.

My gut says no to these Sennheiser IE80 on ebay (Too good to be true). But how can these guys manage to get 100% positive feedback all the time if they are fake IEMs?
