I had gotten an okay seal with the stock tips just to get an idea of the sound (and immediately tip rolled) but when I finally landed on the Dunu S&S, I think it really brought helped tighten up the bass and made them sound a bit more open. I don't think the Dunu S&S really changed the signature too much but it did help tighten it up for me. YMMV
Thanks for saving me from being continually tempted by the ST7 haha. I have these zs10s and they ARE quite amazing, although still not as much bass as the good ol' ZS6, although probably a bit more detailed.
Nah. If you got the ZS10 pro 2, then the only reason to buy the St7 would be so you can have a completely different flavor of sound (warm, detailed, smooth, and mid bassy), which is not what the ZS10 pro 2 is, but head to head, it's not close due to the excellence of extension on both ends of the ZS. I still ADORE my ST7 for what they are and that smooth and warm signature for jazz, reggae, and swing.
I had about the same impressions - good, but "what is special?". I do prefer the high pinna gain in IEMs, and my original IEM enjoyment (that I continue to cherish) is a good V. So Phoenixcall sounded OK/good but quite uneventful. Then I happened to leave them in my ears doing someting else, and at some point after 30+ min of being exposed to them, I realized that my ears were conditioned/forced to pick up so much more details, and I really enjoyed it, and now have Phoenixcall as one of my cherished IEM for long-time listening.
Please do try it, if you have time, and let me/everyone know what is you experience. It can possibly be that I may bias myself(?) so to have you shared your experience with long-tine listening of Phoenixcall would be really great and much appreciated.
As we approach the half way mark of 2024 my pick for the best iem of the year so far the Shanling ME600 just a simply stunning iem both in looks and sound they are sublime
There's qute a buzz beginning to stir over the new Elysian Pilgrim and the Elysian EA CoLab - Pilgrim Noir. I've got em both and rather than cross post I link over to the posts of my initial impressions over on the Pilgrim thread for anyone who's interested. The noirs literally just showed up a couple of hours ago so I'm not ready to make any comparisons, but out of the box, they're both lovely!
I live an EQ free lifestyle (the exception being audeze) but yeah there is all kinds of cool tinkering to do. The dynamic one and sound field ones in particular.

I recommend MSEB with a gentle push in the vocal thickness or something like that (500Hz), turn on dynamic extender plug in, turn off the sound field and follow @Joe Bloggs instructions on the R4 thread (you need to search for the dropbox link) to setup the convolution filter. All of these together + the decent stock amp = quite high end sound
