Here is my humble opinion about the NiceHCK NX7 MK4.

Great review! This aligns with my take on them too. They’re really easy to listen to hours on end. They could use a more vivid and open stage, but that’s about the only downside to these. The tune is very mature and tasteful. I’m a big NX7 MK4 booster. They can still refine it more but it’s a real player in its price range.

ESX are really good and IMO they sound quite similar to Tripowin Mele. Now you can check KZ ZES, because it's 3rd and probably last 12mm DD from KZ?
Yea ZES /ESX / ZNA is 12mm DD family (MST, LCP, and BA ). Variants. I’m waiting for ZES to hit some reasonable price😁

It seems the CHIFI dragons have woken up from their Chinese New Year slumber.

Lots of new CHIFI hitting our shores soon:

1) Tangzu Princess Chang Le

2) Moondrop new IEM
Name TBC

Could this be the new Moondrop Jiu?
At least it seems to be detachable, unlike the Droplet and CHU.

3) Tin HIFI new IEM
Name TBC

Looks like a golf club shaped housing, might be one of the Tin P1/planar type lineage.

We have some news on the detachable CHU look-alike.

It is called the Moondrop "LAN", which mean Orchid in Chinese.

My short Vid on the KiwiEars Cadenza after I had a chance to compare with the TinHiFi C3.
Cadenza's still #1 2022 budget champ for me.

I agree with you on most bullet points and observations. Maybe a couple small quibbles? These are more relaxed and slightly darker than any of the other NX7, so not as technical as the others. This is probably just a residual of the mids being fuller, and the treble not being as extended or sharp as the other NX7, so the feeling of analytical retrieval just isn't like the older versions. It's more controlled, non-fatiguing, and relaxed listen. When I want that type of sound and I'm not worried about imaging or cavernous stage, I pull these out and I'm usually satisfied.

Really glad that you liked it!

ESX happened to stood out for me out very good recent "budget by price" CRA, CRA+ and EDAs.
With wide-bore tips (TRI Clarion for me), the bass is not overwhelming, and most importantly authorative, meaty but not tubby, as many DD, like thick-skin drums (?)

Here is my ESX with a colour matching cable from XINHS (blue color is the best for electrons:) In blue cables my Hi-Fi trust stands )

I have a second pair on the way. I will be curious to try filter & venting modes along great lines of @DynamicEars

Sorry to hear about!
It seems the only what can be worse than half-baked products are half-baked attempts to improve it...

Are the ESX warm sounding like the BL-03?

You should grab the ZES if you like U signature, after quite easy mod, they are more open and the bass is the best KZ bass i ever heard, beating the long time champion budget bass for me, the XUN driver. Impactful but tight, good texture and reach deep.
To be honest I grab the ZES more than The Hola as beater set. They have Z1R DNA, if H40 is like baby Z1R, then the ZES is like his little brother of the baby, but have better bass part (H40 wins on technicalities of course, they are 1DD + 3 BA) but as overall, I like ZES more than H40. Super value fun set!

Can anyone confirm the nozzle diameter of the ie200? If it’s 6mm or more it’ll be too wide for my ear canal.
how to measure it hehe :/

That sounds appealing. What is the ZES mod you're referring to?

Basically if it’s wider than average DD nozzle I can’t use it.

Just get a cheap pair of calipers from AE, I think mine were from the three for $5.99 section. Need to get a battery to try them out. Anything has to be better than squinting through a magnifier as I hold holding the IEMs up to a ruler.

"It's about 5mm I guess!".
"That's not much bloody use. Will an eartip with a 4.37mm internal bore fit and stay on it?"
"Why don't you just try it and see?"
"Because I'm getting the measurements off a bloody web page. It will take weeks to get here, and I don't want to buy them if they don't fit!"
"What's wrong with the tips that came with the IEMs?"
"Don't get me started..."

That's just talking to myself, any discussion with someone else would probably go worse!

Pretty much if spiral dots fit then it’s fine, and not referring to forcing the tip on.
