"You just described the H60 my friend. As for spicy treble on the H60, either whoever said that is a bat, a dog, or a bat dog? Or they just don't know what they're talking about, because the H60 doesn't come close to having "spicy treble". It well balanced, has a touch of warmth, but not overboard, with excellent qualities in each phase of frequency as well as an expansive stage (not FAN 3 level), and better bass than the Fan 3 with nicely tuned mids and treble extension without crispiness.
Yes, i agree about the treble. H60 doesn't have "spicy treble" at all.
Whoever said that it has harsh treble didn't heard iems like fiio JD7, KZ ZS6, Trn conch, Tansio mirai shock (treble at 4 or above).
Those have treble that gonna make your ears bleed.

I would take no offense, but I highly doubt that will be the case. I steered you right with the H60, and this one as well. As for the Dusk, that thing has had it's day, and wasn't able to sustain because of major mixed reviews. In this game, mixed reviews are sales poison, so I'd go into that thinking it might be the worst, and hope for the best. Maybe it'll be the surprise pick of the litter?!
As for moondrop dusk, i think i did a mistake ordering them because i think they gonna be more technical iems than fun.
I also paid for them $80 tax.
I hope I'm mistaken.

Ya actually thats the set I was thinking these would sound like. Neutral bright with BA bass.
It's crazy I held on to that set all these years, since you yourself rec'd them all those years ago, and I finally let them go in my big lot sale. It really was weird selling them and my Ultimate Ears, but I'm cool now. It was a good money return, and I wasn't using them.

Who knows? They might surprise you, and at $80, that's a steal.

That is stunning. Gorgeous. Impressive.

But the miser in me asks: "Is it necessary? Is that lovely packaging and presentation jacking up the price for nothing but aesthetics?" I don't want new products to come in a plastic bag placed inside a brown paper lunch bag. But could the money used for extravagant packaging that looks like something that should hold an 11th century relic from Westminster Abbey instead be saved, with the savings passed to the consumer, or could it be used to make an even better model?

Not trying to crap on that presentation. It's amazing. But we're talking an earphone here, not one of Henry VIII's used condoms.
That's a great point, and I often find myself thinking the same thing! While that packaging is stunning, it does make you wonder if it's truly necessary for a pair of IEMs.

However, there's another side to consider: for premium products like the Durandal, the unboxing experience becomes part of the product itself, adding to the feeling of luxury and overall value.

This kind of presentation also strengthens brand identity and can even offer better protection during shipping. Could the money be used elsewhere? Perhaps, but the cost of packaging might be less than we think due to economies of scale, and the unique unboxing generates buzz and free marketing (take my post as an example). It's a balancing act between presentation and practicality, and ultimately it's up to each of us to decide if the whole package justifies the price.

Haha... They didn't cost me $80.
I wish.
$278 + $80 tax.
Oooops! Sorry. LOL Yeah, that's a bit different, but the concept remains.

My opinion. If I'm paying well over a grand for an IEM, the packaging better wow me, and potentially plow me! LOL I don't want no skimp at those price points.

honestly the quietsea would be CRAZY higher if the fit wasnt absolutely atrocious for me. It's such an odd shape, both the nozzle and the form factor itself. somehow with symbio tips they melt in the ear and thats their one saving grace but i think i will move it up a higher... that sound is damn good for the $40 bucks I think I saw it for today?

If you have small ears the QuietSea is 100% worth a shot. Killer stock cable as well.
Your talking about the hybrid Symbio W ear-tips?

My “11.11 haul” this year is a used ThinkPad.

How’s that audio related, you ask? Well, I put linux on it, and the. streaming clients, REW, other related audio plugins, … BAM!, mobile station for measuring IEMs and writing reviews.

Buy and restore thinkpad for your kids rather than buying cheap spyware laptops, folks.

Guys I honestly thought I was gonna hate on the Kefine Klean. Especially as some people were going around saying it's better than the Delci AE, and I was like no way a $50 IEM beats a more expensive one from the same brand.

But my jaw literally dropped on the floor when I started listening to this little beast. It's quite bassy, has good clarity and resolution, forward mids, and even the treble is quite extended without sounding harsh or shouty. This is the kind of tuning I've always been after but couldn't get even from $500 IEM's. For example, my Penon 10th has amazing bass and mids but I'm not really impressed with its details or treble extension, I dunno what those EST's are really doing. Now obviously, I'm not saying the Klean is better than $500 sets but there are some things it's doing right for me (personally), which other sets haven't been able to do so far regardless of the asking price.

I'm seriously amazed by the level of sq you can get for $50 nowadays. And Kefine Klean is my top pick now not only in the $50 but also in the $100 range. I would pick it over something like the Aful Explorer. Anyway might seem like I'm hyping but do keep in mind, I'm talking about my personal taste here and these are just impressions not a full review or anything.

These impressions are based on the black nozzle not the silver one. I think the Klean has the potential to reach budget G.O.A.T status like the Blon 03. Peace.

im unfortunately not familiar with the Sliivo but based on this graph, I would expect you to like the Origin. It has better treble extensions thanks to the ESTs but they really are not the star of the show, the BCD is for how it assists that treble being felt in the mix.

it is a pretty penny to be sure, and I really wish the stock accessories were better for the price. i would say invest in tips and a cable for it as well, something a bit less stiff. but the sound? pretty unparalleled for what i have heard in this range. Here is my rankings list… would be happy to further explain any comparisons!
If 7Hz Zero 2 is on your list then I/O Volare should be there, too: very similar FR just WAY better in about everything (and much more expensive, sure).
My XINHS S06 cable sits on my TRN ST7, and it's such a beautiful cable, my wife took notice. Helps my ST7 SING and look fantastic, as it matches, due to I have the white and gold version.
I am happy for your joy but looks are secondary for me with a cable.

Edit typo and a bit add.

Guys any recommendations for nylon braided cables like Penon Space? Preferably copper, silver mixed. I'm looking for more of a bight tonality. Budget is around $100 so something on sale would be great too. TIA.

correct yeah!
Those are my wild card ear-tips. As they offer a kind of push back that does allow for IEMs to fit in a way I have never come across. And they might last. Meaning I got away from foam tips partially due to the limited lifespan. A member suggested 3 short blasts of the microwave after washing them with soap and water. Still I’m so over foam ear-tips. But what is wild is the Symbio W have that foam surrounded by regular silicone which makes them Hybrid. But so far mine have lasted a long time, so I’m in! I even washed my pair one time.

Have you tried 7Hz Zero 2? FR is very similar to Klean.
