After a few months I have now settled on1010 on the Trio switches. This suits mÿ preferences perfectly and provides the right balance. Of course sources, tips, cables and ears all vary!

The Ali store I ordered the Trio from have just cancelled my shipment, suspect they never had the stock, so now need to wait for refund.
But, my Legato arrived. Really impressed with them after the first couple of hours and looking forward to burn improvements. Sure they have big bass, but doesn't cramp the vocals. Soundstage is very good.
It is my 50th today and listening on my new set up of wiim pro to Hifiman EF600. 5.1w per channel balanced is perhaps overkill for iems!

The Cayin is interesting, but I doubt it will be a good DAP for walking around. Tubes like to be motionless.

Yeah the tech is really cool but that + the other 2 outputting nearly double the power kinda takes it out of consideration…. Unless I’m not reading something correctly idk I know nothing of tubes lol.
