Sound Rhyme SR5 4BA + 1 Dynamic Driver Hybrid 2Pin 0.78mm HiFi Audiophile In-ear Earphones IEMs

Description

Knowles 5 hybrid drivers

Polymer Nano dynamic

Patent four crossover scheme

3D printing of sound cavities

2pin 0.78mm connector

Ergonomic comfort to wear

3D printing resin integrated molding

ENVISIONTEC 3D printing equipment from Germany is constructed from PMMA acrylic fiber material with improved temperature and impact resistance.

10 drivers hybrid earphone, sound field and listening sense comprehensive improvement

Classic hybrid driver earphone, make innovation again.

Not only the appearance level, but the performance is more powerful

Distinctive functional configuration, fine to every detail, years of continuous research and development, give you the heavenly sound quality experience.

Knowles balanced armature

Medium frequency: use 2 Knowles 29689 balanced armature, improve voice resolution, medium frequency density balance, make earphone voice more sweet performance.

High frequency: Knowles 31736 composite dual balanced armature. The high frequency quality of the balanced armature is designed for the balanced armature HIFI earphone. The high frequency of the earphone is more transparent and the overtone is more obvious. Make high frequency mellow and smooth.

Innovative 3D printed bracket structure for powerful music enjoyment

The internal use of independent innovative 3D printing bracket structure, the use of reasonable acoustic principle to place the driver, thus greatly reducing distortion, lower harmonics, so that the earphone overall more stable.

Composite diaphragm dynamic

Low frequency: use of 10mm composite diaphragm dynamic driver, impedance 16Ω, use polymer PU composite diaphragm, N52 NdFeB shell gold-plated to improve magnetic flux, low frequency volume powerful, with a large dynamic music performance.

Silver-plated mixed cable for powerful music enjoyment

Distinctive functional configuration, fine to every detail, years of continuous research and development, give you the heavenly sound quality experience.

Carefully adjusted frequency response curve, in-ear design to reduce noise

The overall curve is audible and very natural. The vocals are rich in detail, soft and not stimulating. High frequency beautiful air sense is strong. Low frequency is just right, good elasticity, both listening and quality.

Comfortable to wear and easy to remove

The ergonomics deeply optimize the structure of the earphone, and the clever in-ear design makes the earcap better integrate with your ears. For a long time to wearing, is also comfortable.

Luminous effect

Timbre, color are double change. The use of 3D fluorescent material panels, absorbing ultraviolet light or sunlight, will be more elegant than changing the green light.

HIBY R6 III

Had a few hours, tried mostly TIDAL and some of my own files. Tried both my EST50 and Neon Pro. Compared to my old R3 Pro Sabre 2022 the new R6 III has punchier bass notes, mids perhaps a small amount of warmth also. Overall resolution is more defined.

Overall I like the sound as it has good note weight and makes music very fun and engaging. The whole user interface, fast chipset, adroid 12 and 4gb RAM makes it quite future proof for $500. Looking forward to more time with it.

Also need to touch on the MSEB Hiby has, this is brilliant if you wanna play around or tune sets. R3 had the same, but only inside the music player Hiby Music. On this one you can use it system wide.

MSEB works system wide on the R6 2020 as well. I use it from time to time in the Apple Music app.

I've used MSEB for a long time on my HiBy R5. The amazing thing is that instead of figures or graphs, there are nouns and adjectives. Much closer to our human experience. Very clever by HiBy......I like it a lot.

It's a very smart way of doing it, I'm guessing it's only HIBY doing something like this.

Have never been a DAP person before, but I can see myself moving and more in this direction.

Yea, MSEB is a HiBy patented system that they hype like mad. It’s way more intuitive than a graphic EQ, but using it is also more of an art than a science. You can’t target specific frequencies. But that isn’t the major drawback it sounds like because HiBy’s MSEB is really good at sculpting the sound once you get a hang of how each slider works.

Purely experiential/discovery:
The Droplet descended today, together with filters for T800 (while T800 is still on its long journey with **** NL post):

Charmingly captivating East Asian aesthetics. Everything feels well-thought and like a treat, similar to Celest Gumiho. Feels already worthy, and to experience The Droplet sound - starting with Takemitsu's Garden Rain and A Flock Descends into the Pentagonal Garden.

Hidizs use the Hiby software with their players. You get the MSEB. It's one of the thing that makes their players such a bargain.

MSEB is a PEQ in disguise. A member here once share the details of the bands.

Found it after a short search:

MageSound 8-ball (MSEB):

1 -- Overall Temperature is a tilt of the whole line towards treble (cool) or bass (warm)
2 -- Bass extension 70Hz and below
3 -- Bass texture 100Hz (medium)
4 -- Note thickness 200Hz (wide)
5 -- Vocals 650Hz (very wide)
6 -- Female overtones 3kHz (tight)
7 -- Sibilance LF 5.8kHz (medium)
8 -- Sibilance HF 9.2kHz (medium)
9 -- Impulse response 7.5kHz (very wide)
10 - Air 10kHz sloped all the way to 20kHz

If you are geeking about about graph and FR long enough, you will figure these out too. I once made a PEQ that I can dial different regions. I felt so smug until realising that MSEB exists :dt880smile:

There are two issues with MSEB on my AP80 Pro X (running a reskin/custom HibyOS):
  • There is a slight reduction in note separation with MSEB. Turning it on without any adjustment (so no preamp applied) shows a slight softness across the frequencies. Not sure whether this is only with AP80 Pro X or all implementations.
  • No matter what I did, I cannot copy the weighty and larger sound of M6U and K7. Tried everything, even dipping 1k trick. I wish I could because AP80 Pro X is more convenient to carry than M6U.

Whoa. Awesome info! Clearly people have delved much deeper into it than I have so far.

Nice one, my EQ experience is something like this. Does it lack Bass, if Yes make EQ bass shelf.

Or now I just use the Schiit Lokius when at the desktop 😅

HIBY R6 III

Had a few hours, tried mostly TIDAL and some of my own files. Tried both my EST50 and Neon Pro. Compared to both my desktop stack Topping E70+A90D and my old R3 Pro Sabre 2022 the new R6 III has more weight to the low end. Its not a big difference but with the Neon Pro(have tuning switch for 3-5db bass) without switch on R6 is close to the R3 with the bass switch on.

Overall I like the sound as it has good note weight and makes music very fun and engaging. The whole user interface, fast chipset, adroid 12 and 4gb RAM makes it quite future proof for $500. Looking forward to more time with it.

Really nice - considering that my Onkyo DP-X1, which still sounds very good, was purchased in 2016 for ~$600 (with case & screen protector), and has never been updated beyond Android 5.1.1. And, while there wasn't a promise from Onkyo that it would get USB DAC capabilities - there was hope by the users, that wasn't fulfilled.

I own a DP-X1A too. Hardware is still solid, but it’s severely hampered by that ancient Android system.
