It's been that way for a while. I snagged a pair about 10 days ago........absolutely stellar! I believe these are bar none, one of the best bang for buck sets anywhere.

If they sound anything like the T5p then yeah!  Will try to audition somewhere.

I bought the t70 a week ago because of the low price. I want to like it. But I just can't. First, the earpads material is worst then those on DT880. They will get hot faster. So as the material on the headband(same material). Second, they sound too bright. Some people would probably like it because of the details the bright sound give. But it's just too bright for me. The bass is a bit on the weak side compare to the HD650 or even the DT880 600ohm. Oh, by the way, the metal grille on the DT800 become plastic cover on the T70 because of the closed design. Which I don't like. It makes the whole headphone look cheap.

So, I returned it yesterday to Amazon.

Our sources / ears must be very different. I not only have more bass with T70, but the detail of the bass is way better for me than 880. The mids of T70 are very forward vs the distant 880..........very un-Beyer like. Headfi is an amusing place, doesn't matter what the can is, one person will love it, the other hate it. Probably just boils down to some people liking forward aggressive and some liking laid back. Appreciate your comments!

One thing I read about concerning the t70 was the importance of getting a good seal. Otherwise the bass suffers a lot.

I don't suffer that problem. Even when I press the cans tighter to my head I don't notice a difference with the bass. Therefore, the seal (for me anyways) is perfect. I love the bass on these, awesome reproduction of bass instruments.

Well not everyone suffers this problem but I also read people use gel pads to fix this so whoever was having that problem with the bass, try the gel pads?

I don't like being "that guy," but I'm going to bring back up the Denon series real fast:

Does anyone know where the D7000s can be had for a similar price to the EE sale (approximately $555 shipped)?  I'm regreting not buying them now at that price.

Call both EE and JR and ask from best price, you may get it for 555$
