That's an easy fix. Don't buy the HD598 from anywhere. Sennheiser will see that people aren't willing to pay that much for a headphone that should be priced $80 lower than their msrp. Find another pair of headphones.

The difference is that Grado's NEVER go on sale, so there's nothing to complain about. Everybody has seen the Sennheisers on sale for $170, so all of a sudden, the HD598's aren't worth $250.

Keep your eyes peeled.  I once saw SR325 on sale from Midwest Pro Sound and Lighting at $242 shipped (or plus $13 shipping, I don't remember) a long time ago.  I got my SR325is in '09 for $245 shipped from HeadRoom.  They had small discounts on certain Grados back then.
