I prefer Fourte over Trio, due to technicalities and it being less V shaped. On the used market, Fourtes are not that much more expensive than Trios.How would you compare Trio and U12t? Which is better for everyday using? I'm consider between them.
I have read some reviews say Trio is the best alternative to Fourte with cheaper price, is that true?
Thankss

I think on paper, it's possible that my top 3 will be EVO, EXT and X in no particular order. Best in Class Bass, Mids and Treble.
I just got the EXT, had the EVO a little over a week, and my list looking like;

Odin
Thummim
Bomber
LX
Elysium

Everyone else.
Looking forward to your EVO/EXT comparisons.I just got the EXT, had the EVO a little over a week, and my list looking like;

They are both so damn good, proof positive that there is more than one way to skin a cat! Both achieve sonic nirvana, via two very different routes.

I agree the Z1r is a beast on the d300 maxWill do tommorow! The MAX effect will be interesting as well - that thing has made the Odin and Z1R absolute monsters.
It's gonna be nice - I've been away for 2 weeks with only my lowly N3s, so can't wait for a session!

Nothing is perfect. Cons of both? These are $3000 IEMs, it would be nice to see what they objectively don’t do so well also.

They’ll be a lot more Evo feedback in the next few days…

Through the Shanling M8 also!

I've heard that said before. I've still never heard an iBasso player.

Musicteck lists the shipping date as Oct 11 (2 days from now). Curious to see if this proves correct or if they have to keep pushing it forward as with the VE releases.

I’m a believer. I’ve had the DX300 Max for about 4 days and it is superb. Very much on par or exceeding my WM1Z + Cayin C8 combo. I’m flying cross-country with it later this week and actually looking forward to the flight because of it.I've heard that said before. I've still never heard an iBasso player.

Happy to oblige, the VE EXT pros, excels at classical (Baroque, string quartets, small ensemble jazz, acoustic rock); cons, I wish it had a bit more upper midrange, lower treble lift, and maybe a little more mid-bass.the EE EVO, my favorite for classic rock, classical (big symphonic warhorses), jazz, anything with a lot of percussions; cons, on some music (highly compressed rock from the early 2000s to present) there can be too much energy in the upper mids lower treble. Cons for both, they're expensive, the EXT comes with a meh cable, and EE is having problems with the consistency of the PW cable, and finally on the EXT, if your musical preference falls entirely/mostly highly compressed/low DR score current music, the EVO may not be for you.
With both, and everything else, if possible, listen for yourself before you buy. I really like both, but they are very different, but as I noted above, there's more than one way to skin a cat.
