Great list :) would love to hear the Thummim one day

Might have to copy your tier idea eventually, it’s getting too hard to decide between a few haha

Hahah I'll try to find a demo of it. In the meantime I'm getting that ultra limited Phantom that was created in collaboration with EA, I'll be reviewing that soon :)

Try the Legend X SE if you can get your hands on one. It’s also a collaboration with EA. It sounds a lot more balanced than the regular LX imo. Would love to hear your thoughts :)

There's a few people I know that would kill for one of these. Looks like an awesome IEM, but I'm mostly anticipating the Odin and their other 1-2 releases right now

New update:

1. Sony Z1R
2. Campfire Audio Andromeda MW10 / 64 Audio U12T
3. Shure KSE1200
4. Audeze LCDi4
5. Anole VX
6. Campfire Andromeda v3
7. Sony M9
8. Campfire Audromeda Gold
9. Empire Ears Legend X
10. Empire Ears Zeus XIV

Based on my preferences. Recently got the MW10 version of the Andromeda and it's a detail monster. I'd say almost on par w/ the U12T in technicalities but with much more pleasing tonality and very enjoyable to listen to. Nothing really beats the Z1R yet though, I only wish the fit was better. Still, not bad w/ the MW10. I can wear for hours w/ good isolation + comfort and an extremely enjoyable sound.

Interesting list.... why (in your eyes) does the Z1R best all the others?

Attempt at tiers (ranked as all-rounders disregarding DD vs. BA bass-- and only IEMs I've owned or spent a substantial amount of time with):

S Tier
Solaris SE
VE8
u12t

S- Tier
OG Solaris
Anole VX
Legend X

A+ Tier
IER Z1R

A Tier
Atlas

Why is S the top tier in rankings why not make A+ top tier?

It’s a scheme which many around here know...which I think has its origins in the grade schools of Asia

I admire your effort and organizational capacity, even if I disagree with you :)

This thread will always have a special place in my heart as it's one of the first ones I really got into here on Head Fi and it was very helpful for me early on.

1. U12t
2. Ck Andromeda
3. Imr r1
4. Tin Hifi P1
5. RHA T20

The difference in separation and imaging I felt switching from the r1 to the andromeda is the same jump I got from the Andromeda to the U12t. The imaging and separation of the u12t is remarkable to say the least. No regrets.
