No need to ask, we all know.

The good news is..... you don't have anything that a good deprogrammer can't cure.

...if you know one, PM me the details. I've tried everything.

While I do have the RS2e I think the other alternative drivers from Nhoord, Elleven Acoustica and Symphones bring a lot to the table while giving you something of the Grado sound but with slightly different tuning, but you are correct that the cost can be quite a bit more. Here is a picture to help you on your way

On a side note, it's cool to see that people mod Grado headphones. That's quite the collection you have in there. Not sure if it's only us, but that song by TH really goes nicely with this pic:gs1000smile:

Now, I need a pair of really good drivers; maybe star by trying a couple of SR-80e drivers with a little piece of sorbothane in the magnet.
I have caught the "disease". No cure.

Have a good day.
Cheers.

Muchas gracias...they were a pleasure to make (well the cups were...the little buttons, not so much :D)...and we REALLY lucked out with the quality of that piece of Ebony. I still need to thank my supplier again.

Are those discs to close the grados?

No...Cathee has it right.

I'm guessing just buttons a la OG RS style.

Correct. They were a pain in the arse to make and finish though...LOL. Teeny-tiny on the lathe, and finicky to sand.

So, I got a second Turbulent labs headbands on Massdrop because I figured why not, and I made a mistake I haven't made in a long time. I cracked one of my gimbals! I've never felt the need to buy new ones, so I didn't really know anyone to buy them from, and now I can't seem to find any available to order online (albeit I didn't look very hard). Does anyone know where I could find a decent pair?

If you're in the U.S. send Grado Labs and email and they'll help you out!
