Going to be a perfect fit, just a quick question, are you guys just using superglue to secure the SMC connector in the cups?

As the securing screw won't fit due to the thickness of the wood :)

I'm thinking now is a good time to glue the drivers into the cups once I have the sockets installed, what is the best kind of glue to use for that purpose?

Elmer's wood glue if you're gluing in the drivers and they are press fitted.

That's what Grado uses

@wormsdriver , how hard are the drivers to remove if you use the Elmer's glue? It was a PITA to remove the drivers from my RS2e and if its the same I don't want to work that hard again.
Same as the wooden Grados, which is a PITA indeed! I only mentioned it because @Oscar-HiFi mentioned gluing in the drivers

hey guys this question might be out of topic about grados, but i want to have a pair of closed-back headphones for traveling, i dont want to waste too much money so ive researched a bit and found superlux hd669 to be a good choice. does anyone here owned one? i want to hear some opinions about it,thanks
