Hello!

So Ive currently had a Argon HA2 DAC + Denon AH-D2000 setup for the last 2 years, and therefore looking for an upgrade.
I do not, unfortunaly, have any knowledge about headfi so I would like to get some help!
My budget is max 2000 bucks and I do not mind buying used gear.
Mostly I listen to house/club music but I do not want very bass heavy phones!

Thanks alot for help!
Best Regards Fredrik.T

Wow, nice budget!!  Consider:

he500+lyr+bifrost=$1600 and really tough to beat at the price point...

A good amp for the D7000 would pretty much be any solid state amp with a low output impedance (3 ohms or less).  At the lower end you have the O2 and at the higher end you have some Rudistor amps (might be able to find one used) with some Violectrics in the middle.

I am starting to work on a Beta22 for my Denons, but one of those fully assembled by someone else is about as pricey as the cheapest Rudistor you could find.

I'd also recommend LCD-2s as an alternative to the HE-500, definitely some of the best bass (quality) you can get.

Agreed on the Schiit Bifrost + Asgard or Lyr (with the LCD-2 I could find very little difference between the two, personally I'd choose based on whether you want to tube roll).

My thought is you shouldn't decide on the amplifier until you decide on the headphones.  Synergy can be important.  Also IMO WA6 >>>> Lyr
