The SkeletonDAC
Hello, This project looks very interesting to me. I'm just getting done with finals so I'll be going home for a few weeks, but I hope to order a kit and build it when I start next semester. I'm keeping an eye on how that headphone feature turns out. Anyways, I noticed that on the project...- nickosha

Insomnia anyone?
I have the delayed sleep phase syndrome that gilency mentioned. It's not terrible or anything, but it certainly isn't nice after you go to bed at 2 or 3AM and wake up just a few hours later for school for a few days in a row. It's still nothing compared to anyone who has actual sleep problems...- nickosha

Netbook Users. Good Or Bad idea?
I don't have a netbook or recent notebook, but from what I've seen, the 13 or 14 inch laptops with CULV processors are where it's at. Still light and capable of more than 6 hours of battery life (usually more, actually), but they have a bigger screen, can hold a nice size keyboard, and kick the...- nickosha

What's in a McDonald's hamburger?
I hardly ever eat fast food, and I'm perfectly happy about it. However, I have had a Quad stacker from BK and it was alright. One thing I don't like about fast food, however, is that I was hungry just a few hours later even though it was a massive amount of calories.- nickosha

y1 gamma-1 DAC
After having the parts but not doing it for nearly 3 months, I decided to use my holiday vacation to attempt building the gamma 1. Well I've found out that if you do it right, SMD soldering isn't too bad. But once you mess up, it can quickly get frustrating. I have most of the SMD parts done...- nickosha

Sony already researching a multi-core PS4
I have to confess that I've hardly touched my xbox 360 since I built my PC just over a year ago. I'd tell anyone with even a hint of aptitude for using PC's to consider it.- nickosha

Head-Fi Folding@Home: Join the team!
I'd contribute to the head-fi, but I started folding for OCN a little while back with my hd4850. I don't fold much, but I feel that I might as well fold if I'm on the computer anyways. Besides, it helps warm the room up a little bit. :P And a tip for anyone doing GPU folding: most of the...- nickosha

I had a mild flu that may or may not have been H1N1. Then later I got a vaccination anyways.- nickosha

I think I'm going to get this for PC on black friday. It's $30 at gamestop, but I might have to get it somewhere else if that is in-store only.- nickosha

Thank god for head-fi: dumb forums
Wow I was fooled by this revival as well. I have to agree that Head-fi is a pretty nice place. However, I haven't had any problems with the few PC gaming and tech forums I regularly visit, either.- nickosha

Who here is NOT buying MW2?
Yeah I haven't played it nor am I going to, but I think the RAM would be behind stuttering. If it's actually the engine that can't even handle it though, then that's pretty disappointing. Also, I have the same rig, except with 4GB of RAM and some overclocking. FWIR, MW2 isn't extremely more...- nickosha

Who here is NOT buying MW2?
I wonder how long it will take for people to splice dedicated servers into MW2, or the content from MW2 into CoD4. Surely somebody is at least trying it. It's probably locked the heck up, but (DRM) crackers always manage to crack games, so who knows.- nickosha

Who here is NOT buying MW2?
I basically just buy my games where they are the cheapest or on sale. If it wasn't for that, I would still buy the box. The fact that steam basically does all the patching for you is nice, but I like having the physical item more. That said, I do buy quite a few games on the Steam weekend sales...- nickosha
