Netbook Users. Good Or Bad idea?

There are a new bunch of netbooks that are coming out with ULV processors, core 2 solo and duo models for $50 to $100 more than an otherwise similar atom model. This should help for those who really want to multitask.

Check out the Dell Vostro V13. A bit too big for a purse, but it's more like a proper notebook than a tiny netbook.

I don't have a netbook or recent notebook, but from what I've seen, the 13 or 14 inch laptops with CULV processors are where it's at. Still light and capable of more than 6 hours of battery life (usually more, actually), but they have a bigger screen, can hold a nice size keyboard, and kick the crap out of the very weak Atom processors. IIRC, they are usually in the $600 range, but they seem like the perfect compromise between portability, size, and power.

I would avoid a laptop period until SSD's really get their footing. I almost bought an asus netbook w/ flash drive, but I couldn't do it with the slow flash drive included (4gb + expansion card)
