Introducing Audio-Technica's ATH-W1000X
Apparently this is being marketed as the successor to the W1000, and the W1000 is being discontinued (according to here: ã€æ–°è£½å“情å*±ã€‘audio-technicaã‹ã‚‰ã€ŒATH-W-1000Xã€ã€ŒATH-ES10ã€ä»–ï½œã‚¤ãƒ¤ãƒ›ãƒ³ãƒ»ãƒ˜ãƒƒãƒ‰ãƒ›ãƒ³å°‚é–€å º—「e☆イヤホンã€ã®ï¼¢ï½Œï½ï½‡).- nsuttitinagul

Has anyone compared the AT AD2000 to the HD600, K701 or Lambda Pro?
I did a short review here. I've since sold the HD600s since I don't like their sound. Unfortunately, I can't give you more impressions concerning your question as I have not listened for an extended period to electrostatic systems. I would be careful about "upgrading" to something that's...- nsuttitinagul

AKG K340 : Velour pads
I eventually got the velour pads from him. It is a little difficult to do. Furthermore, the pads are next to impossible to get on to the K340. Once they're on though, they've been really comfy, so I'm keeping them.- nsuttitinagul

What do you own and why do you own it?
Audio-Technica ATH-AD2000: a little bright, but driven by a warm amp and a good source, quite natural and very detailed. I have not yet found a headphone which can better it on most Japanese music. Taking suggestions if anyone has ideas. AKG K340: really awesome mids, very warm, smooth, and...- nsuttitinagul

Another HD650 replacement cable question...hardwire or not?
Playing in the lab, the difference in resistance/inductance/capacitance between soldered connections and most attachment/plug-like connections is negligible. I would only hardwire if you see a benefit in durability and have no intention of changing the cable.- nsuttitinagul

Rank the Headphones that You Own.
1) Audio-Technica ATH-AD2000 2) AKG K340 3) Shure E4 If I still owned them, the Senn HD600 would be 2.5.- nsuttitinagul

Ahh, Finally did it. Hello AD2000
I noticed the biggest improvement when upgrading my source. That said, upgrading the amp also did produce a noticeable improvement with the AD2000. A warm amp can really fill out the bass nicely and naturally.- nsuttitinagul

Ahh, Finally did it. Hello AD2000
I originally found the lower midrange and bass lacking, but with a tube setup, it fills out really nicely.- nsuttitinagul

IEM with sound quality >= Sennheiser 280
I used both the hd280 and Shure e4c at one point in time (the hd280 were a gift). Initially I liked the 280s better, but the e4c are decisively clearer and more detailed, with greater extension down low though less impact. Honestly, I was unimpressed with both headphones, though...- nsuttitinagul

Impressions: Audio-Technica AD2000 v. Sennheiser HD600
I don't believe I will keep both pairs...the HD600 only marginally does orchestras better, and that really is frankly a matter of taste. I can live with the AD2000s and will look elsewhere to try other headphones.- nsuttitinagul
