Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
A bunch of my friends and I blind A/B tested the Jotunheim to the Schiit Vali 2 (with 6BZ7 tube and Amperex ECC88/6DJ8 Orange Globe Logo O-Getter tube) with a 3.5mm switcher and we all could tell no difference between the amps.- hutt132

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
I’m building a new house and will be doing the electrical in a few months with my father who is a licensed electrician. For the theater room, are you just saying to run a dedicated run from a breaker to the electrical socket that my audio equipment will be plugged into? And then plug my...- hutt132

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Is the general consensus that newly purchased Jotunheims sound better than the older ones? And is this leaning towards confirming that the new Jotunheims use a constant transconductance output stage?- hutt132

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Does the Multibit DAC card mount vertically still or horizontal? From the pictures, I don't see the pin outs like on the other cards to hook it up, so I'm a bit confused on how it installs and it connected. Are the pin outs on the other side of the card pointing down, and the card mounts...- hutt132

Asus Xonar Essence STX vs Schiit Eitr for SPDIF
I disabled the on-board audio right away, and I'm also using the Unified Xonar Drivers. That's interesting. In the Xonar driver I have SPDIF Out checked with PCM. http://puu.sh/yNUMi/d4cc6f492e.jpg- hutt132

Asus Xonar Essence STX vs Schiit Eitr for SPDIF
Currently I am using an Asus Xonar Essence STX to feed my Schiit Modi Multibit via TOSLINK. I always see people talking about jitter and whether or not it actually makes a difference. Do you believe the Schiit Eitr would make a slight improvement over the Xonar?- hutt132

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Does anyone think the Schiit turntable will have a phono pre-amp built in? I'm thinking of buying the Schiit Mani, but will wait a bit longer and get the Schiit turntable if it has a a phono pre-amp built in.- hutt132

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones
Whoever designed the MMCX cable is an absolute idiot. I cut the right angle jack off to terminate an XLR connector to make a balanced cable because I know there's two ground wires. This would make you think they use a separate ground if there's two ground wires at the right angle connector...- hutt132

Does the stock cable have 4 separate wires all the way to the end? Or are the grounds joined together at the Y-splitter? I want to attach a 4-pin XLR to the end to have a balanced cable.- hutt132

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones
Put the Audeze vegan pads on mine today. They're more comfy, but the clamp force is still annoying and hurts my jaw and head after a while. Any way to reduce the clamp force? I've had it stretched on my pillow overnight for a while now and it's still too tight. Also, when I was pulling one...- hutt132

Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
I find the volume knob on my Jot to be a little disappointing. It's hard to do fine volume adjustments as the knob isn't really smooth. If I want to move it a smidge, it takes a bit to overcome the initial friction, which causes it to jump up or down instead of a nice smooth adjustment.- hutt132

I'm having a hard time understanding how you fit it on. On the stock earside there's foam, a metal cover, and then the earpad, correct? So where exactly is the foam from the rear going? Underneath the metal cover? over the metal cover but under the vegan pad?- hutt132

Looking for short RCA cables (1" or less)
Looking for a nice and short RCA cable to hook a Modi Multibit to a Jotunheim. The 6" Schiit PYST RCA cable would work, but they seem too expensive for me. Any recommendations?- hutt132
