IEM frequency ranges
Theoretically we're unable to hear anything below 20 Hz. Plus, this limit is usally higher for the average listener. Plus, I seriously doubt the Creatives (or any earphones) can deliver 8 Hz "sounds" I'm sure you could notice differences in the bass response, but specs won't tell you which...- Pumpkin72

Just blew out my E2c's - Recommendations for a new pair
If you need more bass than the E2c, maybe you'd like the Super.fi 5 EB, though they seem to be $30-40 above your budget. Probably you'd also like the AKG K26 / K81DJ (bassy, inexpensive), but they're not IEMs. As for canalphones, the Senn CX-300 are considered pretty good here, not sure if...- Pumpkin72

Wife wants an IPod...what to buy??
For some (probably stupid) reason, I don't think women like the sr60's (or anything else's) headband, and remember that IEMs are not for everybody (when you think about it, it's kind of weird). So maybe some nice earbuds would do the trick. And if I'd get a Nano I would like an AC adapter...- Pumpkin72

Headphones for isolation
Yup, those K81DJ sound like a good suggestion. Considering your musical taste, you might also like the Westone UM1. They: - match your budget, - provide awesome isolation and comfort, - have virtually no microphonics at all (my MX500 were noisier), - sound great with those genres you...- Pumpkin72

what is your budget
I felt guilty when I got 45 € buds. Now I think they were a waste, but just because of their awful sound quality. I felt great when I got some 90 € cans, because I thought I could't get any better. Now I think those were too cheap to be good. When I got some $100 IEMs, I thought I wouldn't...- Pumpkin72

Can somebody tell me the difference between 192mp3 vs Flac?
To me, it depends on the head/earphones I'm using. With the UM1 I couldn't tell the difference, but my (pre-burnt-in) HD595 are a very different story... They're too revealing and make 192 VBR sound like 128 CBR with my old MX500. I suppose it's mainly because of the high frecuencies that get...- Pumpkin72
