This is how much people care about headphones.

This thread gives me a chance to voice the opinions I have been harboring for quite some time, ever since joining head-fi a few years ago. There are tons of communities in the world that will think they are better than any other given community in the same genre. Religion. Politics. Sports...

Finally got them... Serial 0399 for those that care... Clear shell with my own artwork on the faceplate. They fit well so far... I'm having a slight isolation issue with the left earpiece, but it's not affecting quality of sound or anything. I'll give it a couple days before I decide if...

Fake ESW10 pictures vs real (56k warning)

As a complete off-topic post, I'd like to just say that the "56K warning" shouldn't be needed anymore... If there is anyone that spends a lot of time on this forum who also has a 56K modem, they should be punished with longer load times for not upgrading their internet before the upgrade their...

What should a perfect custom IEM fit feel like?

I too am a newbie when it comes to customs. I'll be getting my ES3xs pretty soon and I'm a bit nervous about the fit... hopefully it'll be good, but can anyone answer the OP's question about new impressions? I assume if you get a refit that you need new impressions taken. It seems logical anyway.

Review: Three Flagship Custom IEM - Westone ES3X vs Jerry Harvey JH13Pro vs Ultimate Ears UE11Pro

What a great review! Much appreciated. It reminds me of digihead's occasional postings in which he was amazed by the ES3xs. Really well done. I've just purchased the ES3xs and I can't wait! For me, the $400 price difference between them and the jh13s is more than enough for me to be happy about...

Yeah, it all really comes down to how much you're willing to pay. Which is why threads like these are becoming more prevalent, as the price line between universals and custom blurs. No longer is there a distinction between custom and universal in terms of *just* quality. Now, we have to...

Custom molds video - ear impressions to manufacture

Interesting. Much more informative than the UE mold video (can be found on youtube). It seems that either Etymotic does theirs differently. Pretty straightforward though; nice to see it in action as well.
