Yeah, that's definitely the right box- I have the same one. They aren't E4c's, they are E4s, but they are exactly the same.

My main issue with the E5 is comfort- I would say it loses a few points in that area. No complaints with the E4, that is an awesome IEM. But truth be told the E3 holds a special place in my heart, good sound and light weight make it an ideal IEM to get started on.

If you absolutely need bass then you need an E5 or E500- the thing is, I found the E5s to be extremely uncomfortable. Haven't tried the E500 yet.

Have they gotten both cpus to work yet and are they still making headway on the battery life issue?

Another reason I like single driver IEM's is that they weigh less and thus are easier to ignore when they are in your ears.

I have an e3 and an e4 and I can't tell the difference when I listen from a portable. The e3's are lighter and cheaper than the e4s, but you won't feel satisfied with the e3s and you'll probably wish that you bought e4s. Once you get your e4s you will delude yourself into thinking they sound...

I own both, you're not going to hear a big difference from any of the mp3 players available. While the E4cs do look better, they are NOT lighter. My girlfriend actually prefers listening to the E3cs because they are so light.

The highs are beautiful, I love them for classical movies and opera. It also does a good job with acoustic rock and jazz. However for most modern rock I feel like the bass is definitely lacking.

Any particular reason why you want the E4g and not the E4 or E4c? The only difference is the way they look and the cable length.

Everything I've read suggest that you at least try the K501. Since the price just dropped drastically I'd say that's the one you should try. TTVJ offers a $10 discount just for starting a new account, I recommend heading on over there (ttvj.com) and picking up a K501.
