They rate so high, why are they discontinued? What replaced them in the Senn lineup?

OK I've heard that the best sounding headphones are fully open. Problem is everybody I work w/ can hear everything I listen to on my k501's. Is there a good can in the $100 range between a sealed and an open?

Has anyone tried a Elec Ave 2 w/ k501's and compared it to say a Gilmore lite, Xin Supermacro, Pimeta, etc.?

...w/ a cheap amp (Elec Ave 2)? Whould I be better off w/ a set of Grado 60 or low end Senns if I can't afford a better amp for the power hungry k501's?

Am I better off w/ AKG K501's and Electric Avenues Pocket Amp 2 or Grado 80's and a Headroom Airhead (or other $150 +/- amp w/ the Grados)Suggestions on amp w/ the Grados welcome.

My sony 300 disc component is on it's way out and I'm wondering if getting a large hard drive (250 gig) for my computer, loading my favorite CDs onto it and using my PC as a component is a popular option. When using the iPod w/ AC power, does the battery HAVE to charging? With a lithium it's not good to keep it at full charge all the time but I don't want to run it off battery power if I can help it especially with my home system. Guess I just gotta keep an eye on the power level. Kind of a pain.

Do you need to have s-video on your TV to transmit pictures to your TV? If you only need to have a RCA input jack, do you still need to have a cable from apple to connect you photo iPod to it?

I've installed my chaintech AV710 but only get sound out of the card ALT Out. Is this normal? If not, what setting did I screw up?

Audio-Technica ATH-CM3 have a frequency response of 20 - 24,000Hz and the Sony MDR-E888LP ear phones response is 8 to 27,000 Hz. At the same price, should the Sonys be a no brainer choice? Are the ATH-CM3's only fashion?

Are there any good (around $100), NON sound isolating in-ear headphones?

Are the only in-ear headphones choices under $100 (that are worth considering) the Etymoyic ER-6 and the Shure E2C?
