ES8 has been in my system for a few months now and it is wonderful.
I've not seen an es8 in the wild till now! any chance u have tried it with an x9k? I am considering getting this or the fireflies, well, something more affordable than T2/Cayman as an introduction to stats..

I have a set of Dan Clark Voce and Stax SR-007. The Voce are my preferred headphones and are in the photo. They sound super with this amp, and it seems to have more than enough power for e-stats you want to throw at it.I've not seen an es8 in the wild till now! any chance u have tried it with an x9k? Got my first ever Woo amp a few weeks ago. The WA22. It came with these here fancy tubes, too.

Congratulations!I picked up a used wa2 a few months ago. It’s end game for me. I got an older one with a preamp output and a nice stash of tubes.
It looks like you’ve discovered the universal rule of R2R DACs + OTL tube amps + ZMF headphones = B L I S S

Wa33 elite edition in black will be here in a few days. exciting times. Didn’t think I’d own tube amp, but dropped the drawers fully

Congratulations. That's mine dream amp. My current WA5LE is the 5th Woo amp I've owned(and quite a few other SS units too)and I'm really looking forward to one day owning a WA33. I'm envious, you lucky person!!

Person isn't really the word I tied to send(you go Head-Fi.org) for but you get the idea
I am a big fan of this dongle. Mine shipped with a faulty switch, but Woo fixed it right away. This thing sounds awesome with all my headphones, but I especially like it with my HD 600. I’m not a big fan of Sabre DACs generally, but this implementation is awesome, and I really dig it. It’s a bit quirky, as has been mentioned in the videos on it, but probably less so than your average tube amp. Just know that it has a tiny bit of learning curve relative to a regular dongle. Overall, this little guy is a beast, and I highly recommend it for tubes on the go!
I have done a bit of testing with it for power use, etc. and you can find that and lots of other opinions in this thread:

Looking for opinions from people who have owned a WA22 and a WA2 or have listened to them for an extended period.
I am a relatively new owner of a WA22, and I absolutely love it, but my audiophile FOMO is kicking in and now I’m having trouble shaking the idea that I need to try a SET amp, and I figure I might as well go OTL while I’m at it. I have already invested a small fortune in power tubes for the WA22 (NOS 5998, a couple pairs of used 421a, near NOS 7236, and others), so I would have a head start on the WA2… Anybody want to talk me out of it? My wife will thank you
