In case anyone is wondering, this is how Phonix graphs.. courtesy of @aaf evo

Can't wait to hear it next month.

That's about how I hear Phonix...definitely a mid-bass emphasis over sub-bass. Also, that target curve is a textbook example of how distinct our preferences can be.

Lol an ounce of sincerity & straight forwardness can be worth a pound of anything else.

Today, I am listening to my first 64 Audio IEM. Nio. I am shocked because I really like it a lot. It has a really punchy and clear sound. It sounded good with all 3 modules. But, my favorite is the M20 which makes it a basshead IEM. I need to A/B test it, but I think I like it more than the IE900. I prefer the mids of the Nio to the IE900. Given my experience with it, I need to listen to the Trio.

I had a Nio on hand for a month once and really tried to like it. Mids were the deal breaker-- they sounded paper thin to me relative to the bass. Guitars had bite but lacked body. The Duo has a very similar sound and was much more to my liking. Glad you're liking the Nio though...YMMV and all that.

the disease: Lime Ears Pneuma

That does sound more like a clinical diagnosis than an IEM...what's the driver config? Congrats and I hope you like them.

yeah, what you are hearing as paper thin mids, I am hearing as clarity.

7mm Ti DD for subwoofer
2xBA mid bass
1xBA mid
1xBA treble
apparently wide and deep soundstage, which is a key requirement for me
