If you could only own three iems, and they have to be under $500 each, which ones would you choose?

I would most likely buy used. I already have a really good IEM in that price region which is the Timsok Ts-316. I don't really need another IEM at all tbh. If I would choose two others, it would be to try them out. At the moment I would choose two I never heard:
Hisenior Mega5est
Thieaudio Hype 4

Would love to know what other people like though!

@PassionForMusic you can just pick up a MEST MKIII, it's the same IEM but with better build quality.

So I dusted off the old Apple dongle and fired up Spotify. I didn't mean to begin gathering impressions now, but I had to plug something in to see if the Apple dongle was still working properly.

I'll write up something proper later to provide better context... but at the moment, the only thing the KZ EDX Pro is slaying, is itself.

Wow the Onyx is good.

Whatever method VE changed to tune their highs between VE8 and EXT oneard, I do not like at all. Their air is triggering my sensitivity so much.

I demo’d the Sultan, Ragnar & Onyx. VEX sounded harsher to me than all of them LMAO I am so confused.

But what if your assumption is false? What if that IEM scales so well you'd never have guessed it as it plays in the same ballpark as a regular IEM the price of your cable does?

I aporoach from a different angle, if I already own the cable the cost is irrelevant. if the results are an improvement and I love it. I wouldn't buy a way more expensive cable for a cheaper iem though.

Hahaha that would be something.

Currently using a xlr to 4.4 adapter that is also 1 meter long. On loan

But ordered a xlr to 4.4 adapter without cable….

Tbh that extra meter is really convenient.. I dont want sound alterations though

Not bad. I'd even explore the possibility of having an xlr->2 pin/mmcx cable. Out of respect for dcs Lina...

If people are looking for low profile tips, these are amazing:





They came with the Supreme v3 and are the only tips that work for me with this IEM.

After testing dozens, these are the only way for my ears to stay in, stay comfortable and keep great sound

Absolutely drooling over the ONIX XM5 design… has anyone had an opportunity to try it yet? - I know only being released around now but just in case it’s been at any recent shows!

It does look awesome and I love the small footprint, but... 7ohm output impedance from 4.4mm
