Those of you going to CanJam and have not heard Eclipse, I encourage a listen - especially if appreciative of single DD goodness, or in this case, the active/passive dual implementation. I'm listening yet again tonight, so smooth and immersive, but with great detail and a fantastic stage - the bass really does dig deep, and provides a nice shelf to inject a hint of warmth across the FR. Very much under the radar still in my opinion!
I didnt mean that in a disparaging way. I know those are both new releases. I only meant something truly new from the current crop of releases they teased last week. Supermoon at this point is probably not something I am interested even if they do finally have a widely available uni, and the trifecta is just far beyond my comfort zone price wise. But if there is nothing I am interested in, probably for the best, for the wallet.

First look at new Solaris and Andromeda confirmed from CFA...OMG. Still watching the video. Elysian seems to still be about Diva and Anni...nothing of VE or EE that I can see yet.
I own a Meet Agains that came with the Le Jardin and it doesn't look, nor feel like the Mentor stock cable. I have not tried to listen to them. So, I guess it's possible. The weave at a minimum is different.

RIP screws on the faceplate, the new Andro looks more comfortable but less I dunno, iconic? Those edgy shells were hard to mistake with anything else. But I dig the Storm inspired (by time of appearence I guess) faceplate of the Solaris

It's been 6 months since I updated my top 12 headphone and IEMs ranking list. This list is a ranking of what I own in my collection. It is aligned with my taste in music and musical preferences and there are some very worthy IEMs that may rank higher from a pure sound point of view, but I didn't include them here because for whatever reason I chose something else over them.
What's different this time around is that I actually spent a lot of time listening to various combinations of IEMs, Cables and DAPs to determine optimal synergy. My favorite cable and DAP pairing and Headphone/DAC/AMP combinations are included in parentheses. Readers should note that my approach toward building a collection is a specialist approach. I am looking for the absolute best of each sound attribute that strikes my fancy. Generalists don't tend to do as well with me as something that is the best at one thing and nothing else.
Noticeably missing is A&K Odyssey since I have not bought it yet. Waiting to see what Empire Ears comes up with this year.
I am very happy with this collection as it covers my entire music library with most of the flavors of sound I really love. I do not expect it to change much over time now. Will more likely be substitutions as really great new product offers get introduced into the market.
Last note is that I have found that headphone synergy with DACs and Amps is much more important than with IEMs. So, if I were to own different DACs and Amps, my headphone rankings may change dramatically.
Wondering how canjam is with disabled accessibility. Not even sure I'll be able to go. Managed to tear my calf badly on Friday. Trying to get a surgical consult this week but I'm barely managing on a cane. If im able to go at all itll most definitely be in a wheelchair.
Yeah, this sucks...
Sorry to hear this. Several years ago, I tore my calf in one of my morning run when I tried to catch the pedestrian light a few days before my business trip. I ended up still managed to make to the trip in Seattle, limping all the way. It was not a fun experience.
