I only use Adata Premier 64s, but from what I read here, Sandik 128s are the only 128s that work.
Thanks olddude (I am old too). I have been looking on ebay at sandisk branded 128gb and they range from $25-$125. How does one know they are legit?
This one work?....last question on this, promise...

Windows does not default to a new audio device just because you plugged it in, you need to select the new audio device in control panel or your audio player program.Chris - if you are having the issue with the driver failing to install on 8.1, try this link : http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how-to-disable-driver-signature-verification-on-64-bit-windows-8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/
You just need to disable the security - it's because the driver is unsigned.
I'll try this out.
Edit:
OK,
I tried that out, the driver installs OK, but no sound out of the X5.
Maybe the driver doesn't like Firmware version. 2.34?
The speakers on my notebook computer do not mute when USB cable from FiiO X5 is plugged in.

I've selected the FiiO X5 USB driver, still no sound.
Volume is at 100%.
I'll try this out.

Anyone here have the he-400? I would like to know if the X5 can drive them properly. An owner here once said he will test it but never came back.
