A little, friendly advice on bundle. I find the interconnect between X5 and E12 is way big and useless honestly. You designed the bundle to use them together, there could be a micro/tiny IC in between them, quite small profile as well as durable.
 
Apart from that, I have no complaints. I hope the price will be lower than purchasing both units separately.

 
That can probably be said to just about most IC out there actually. I'll really like to see some very short IC, like 1.5~2inch in length.

it is very hard to make short IC, unless it is fully hand make cable which will cost a lots. we will see if we can do that.

Just didn't expect a stack again. But then again I will only use the X5 with (C)IEMs.

I own a T1 and HE-500 that would benefit from that but as I always use my rig at home I didn't think of people using the FiiO stack a home rig.

2) Null Audio Elpis 3 ciem (2 BA, 1 Dynamic)
 
i am wondering if i should get any of the following to pair with the x5
 
1)  Astell & Kern AK10
2)  Etymotic Research ER4-PT
3)  Sony PHA-1
4)  NAD Viso HP50
 
anyone has any idea if any of the above will go well?

Ok, this question might be quite stupid among Hi-Fi nerds, but ...... does it really pay off to use a Montblanc on top of the X5. Anyone tried with and without an extra amp?

The X5 is up for preorder in the US on BH Photo and Video for $349 with free shipping...just placed my order.

Current availability date is April first (please don't let that turn out to be a joke in poor taste

To me that's ok.  You don't have to bundle it because not everyone needs it as the internals are pretty good anyway.  If you sell those separately I am willing to pay for it separately.

The Astell & Kern AK10 would make no sense pairing to the X5... the AK10 is mainly positioned with smart phone usage that do not have a decent DAC/AMP. The X5 already offers a great DAC/AMP combo.

I am not familliar with the other products that you mentioned...
As far as I know... The only think to be added to the X5 might be an external amp, and an amp only. (when using full size and demanding headphones)
