Thanks hard to read all those posts especially on a mobile device.

Once I hear impressions, mostly fair ones not hyped, then I'll conclude about it's SQ on the X5 but the price though my hat to James as always it's very fair and easier on the wallet. What a fair man he is. Once it's sold here and the comments are positive then I might seriously think of buying but the X7 would be more what I originally had in mind the question is how much and how long I am willing to wait.

Yes the bottom one is quite nice, amazed to see how many beta versions he had, would be great working for FiiO. :)

Onto the four corner buttons not sure I like the positioning, it reminds me of the first iPod except Apple put the buttons at the top, that's kind of vintage design though maybe the ubiquitous tape transport design would have been easier on the operation. Possibly located on the side similarly to the ZX1.

curious X5... how it sounds, and competition heating up with rumors about new AK DAP next year, and Calyx M, while Sony ZX1 already here.
high noon time for DAP makers?

Aesthetically-speaking, I'm not a fan, either, but if the X5 performs well, I will still buy it.

Apparently the new AK will be full screen... and heard that the prototype was shown to Jerry Harvey >_<
I prefer the half screen design though... full screen design is just similar to all smartphones nowadays.

I don't care whether it's full screen or half screen - if it's $2,500 bucks they can stick it where the sun doesn't shine, and then what difference will the screen size make?
