That Studio 2 FR is AWFUL, I think you might have a dud.

Softears is known for tuning, hard to imagine they'd release something that graphs like a decade+ old IEM.
Ufortunately, it doesn't look like it's a dud. Mark over on Super Reviews also measured his unit and it looks the same. 😕
Oh no, in my case, the incisiveness can mean either two things 1) Clear, resolving, and crisp, and extended or 2) clean, clear, and detailed. In the case of the M21, it's the second one. It's delivers a detailed and clean treble, but it's not as extended or shimmery as I'd like. Now, it's excellent with brighter IEMs, and adds a bit of musicality and bass fun to those IEMs, but for less bright IEMs, I'd prefer to use other DAPs, but the M21 is new, and I'm still discovering synergy sisters. Long way to go.
I have very limited experience when it comes to DAPs but the M21 looks like an intriguing one. Looking forward to your final thoughts on it. I only have the HiBy R3 II which also has great synergy with brighter tunings. I still prefer streaming the vast majority of the time so my phone is still my main source plus various DACs of course.
I have nothing left. This the first time since I started this hobby where I don't own anything.
Sorry to hear about all the fit issues you're having 😪. The problem is that moving up in price and adding more drivers usually means much larger shells to house said drivers. The budget tier is great for finding smaller IEMs but of course the overall sound quality is lower 😕. I've been "blessed" with big ears my whole life and I guess this hobby is where it's finally paying off for me as I don't have any issues with big shells. I hope you can find a good middle ground between size and SQ to suit your needs.

This think is crazy good, small , and combine that with this Android and web app is insane what you can do with programmable and store PEQ Equalizer settings, everything.

I just found this on AliExpress:
C$92.88 | EPZ TP35 Pro

Personally I wouldn't support AKLAIM ever again.

How does this compare to the TP50, if you disregard the peq capabilities? I can get it down to just under $80 CAD
Personally over the TP50 I think it sounds a bit more refined less digital glare smoother?

It has less controls and on board features so it kinda needs the app and unfortunately Android or Web only iPhone uses left out in the cold once again.

I paired it with the Stardust to see how resolving it was and it did a admirable job for a sub $100 dongle zero complaints.

I paired it with the Phantom.SE and quite enjoying how music it sounds nothing too boosted or elevated except maybe a slight sub bass boost.

I loved ebc80 but the bass lacked some texture. Anyway great bass punch 👊 my main gripe with ebc80 was something in the mids, and would sound a little sharp/shouty due to this.

Oracle MkIII is faster, tighter and had more bass texture in comparison, but again we have argued on this before. 😂

I also tried the Archangel, thick and fun sound. Borderline basshead set even with bass switch off and treble on, lots of fun but not for accurate timbre and all that. It probably close to Origin bass quantity or more, guilty pleasure fun set similar to Origin😍

Huh... can you elaborate more on archangel sound? Overall sound signature

Recently, I received the Unique Melody Stardust IEM from MusicTeck. Interestingly, I had a chance to give it a listen during a hectic day at work, which turned out to be quite the refreshing break.

In terms of sound, my initial impression was that it leans towards a more laid-back tuning. The midrange stood out with commendable tonality—if I had to describe it in one word, I’d say lush-ier type. It represents vocals and instruments quite engagingly.

The bass is fairly authoritative, though I found it to be somewhat tips and source dependent, which could lead to mixed experiences for different folks. On the stock cable, the bass texture felt a bit leaner, but after some cable swapping, I noticed a clear improvement in fullness and definition.

As for the treble, while the extension might not be the set’s key strength but its overall technical ability is really impressive. Detail retrieval, layering, and soundstage felt quite capable for a set with this tuning.
I will share my detailed opinion about this set in the full review, until then I'll have to listen to it more time☺️

I used to own two IEMs from UM(I don't remember the name of one, maybe Mirage or something, and the other one was Mext). But my most remarkable experience from this brand was with their Mest MK2. Really wanted to buy the Mk3 but it was pricey.

The usual for the night for me, I was thinking I will listen to some Nostalgia Camelot, but my heard has went out to grab the Ice Labs Prismatica :)

Bro, I have found timbre issues with some IEMs in their previous line-up ☹️but their recently released maven ii is one of the best sounding UM's IEM in my opinion

Ah haven't tried that. I tried their 13000$ IEM in SG, it was good but that price tag lol

Yea, I agree I had to try Archangel to see if they fit and looks like my faith on those 6.2mm nozzles slapped me in the... ears I guess haha.
All my iems that I've sold were on the big loss from me, sadly. My country is poor so selling locally at almost the full price it's kind of impossible, especially this being a niche hobby. Most people just own airpods or galaxy buds and that's all they know. I was lucky to find a few prople like me with this hobby and mostly I sell to them at a very good discount. The guy I sold my Archangel to was very happy to receive this good offer and he messaged me that Archangel is now his daily driver. I'm glad for him!

I hope too Surface will be good cause I'm tired of this buying and selling thing. Looking at my sold iem list makes me very sad. More than half of them didn't fit me and it was the half that I've enjoyed more. My frustration can't be described at this point.
I have a wonky ear, so I can empathize. In the past, I would have to sell half my gear, because if the IEM had a short nozzle, then nope! At the end, I typically have to tip roll to secure a uniform fit, with rolling OOTB to find the best fit. I had to sell some amazing IEMs because of this, but now I have a very large swath of tips.

It is better to read some of the reviews that is out, like from Dsnuts. It didn't seem to me as the most technical IEM, but for pure musicality and fun its excellent (if you like loads of bass that still have natural tuning that's not dark or to much V shape). As you could see on my previous post the measurement is very similar to Origin, so it doesn't shock me I liked Archangel. Comfort is probably better on Archangel, while technical level is most likely best on Origin. I had quite limited time with it, why I say its better to read a full review instead.
