I would be shocked if Xinhs S06 ever goes below $100. Usually $150ish and goes down to $115ish during sales.

As I stated before, you have to watch the XINHS Twitter/X, and see what they throw up there for their random sales cable. Since it's in Chinese, you kinda hafta look at the key words/descriptions in English, and the photos they many times attach, but not always. That's when you get the greatest discounts. You just plug in the store code along with the Alix code at checkout.

I bought mine for $102, 31

Great deal without the store code! Well done.

Good lawd!!! Ya I supposed on a good sale and stacking coupons you could get it under $100 but XINHS won’t price it that low themselves I gotta believe but ya never know. Definitely not $75
Are you calling me a liar? What's with you and the attachment to this cable? Are you making them yourself in your backyard? Someone else had to point you in the right direction with photos the other day. Quite strange your seeming attachment to a specific cable.

And this is the final arbiter of a IEM or headphones longevity and successful community standing. Otherwise, there is no need to review anything, or share an impression, if it always comes down to personal preference and opinion. The arbiter is sharing your impressions (like you do, and very well), and then an IEM gathering a consensus ranking. Now that consensus might not jive with your personal preferences, but it provides data points for you to make that informed decision. So that a very popular IEM might not sit well with you, and you pass, or a IEM might not get any love, but to your ears, it's a winner! But you had plenty of data to make that informed decision, either positively reviewed or negatively reviewed. Negativity is a part of the gig, of the community, of the game, and there's no need to sugar coat it, sweep it under the rug, or glance past it, nor should you be inclined to be afraid to share your opinion on an IEM, negatively or positively.

So yes, it's subjective and down to preference, but it's also a community, and as one, you are here to give your thoughts and preferences, even if it goes against the grain. Otherwise, you might as well consider yourself a lone wolf, and skip the community, and just live in your bubble of bliss.
Can you imagine which IEM I love fully more? I'm finishing up the review for the ZiiGaat x HBB Arcadia today. And I decided to throw in one more dramatic comparison. Yep the Timeless II is way, way, way. way way more my cup of tea in the end! Great post by the way!

Hahaha no not calling you a liar. No one pointed me to the right cable? It’s the S06 not much left to point to just search it. I was just pointing out I’ve never personally seen it at $75.

There were additional store coupons and store discounts that allowed me to get it under $76.

They don't always go on sale for those prices, and it's more of a flash sale code. If I'm not misremembering, it was @Ineras who posted the list of cables that went on the flash sale, and they don't even tell you how much your getting off in most cases. You just have to take the code, plug it in, and then see just how much off it takes. For instance, the ivipQ 530, which normally sells for $109.00 (listed for $300), was posted in that flash sale with a code that took it all the way down to $25.00. Now the code hasn't been offered except for that one time it was posted in this thread. It's on sale soon, but at $78.20. That's why for each sale, I check out the Twitter feeds. and plug in the codes, and see which ones are giving the "give away" discounts, because that's how you score the major cables at ridiculous prices. Same as how I got my silver palladium Zisin-26 interconnect for $16.66 when it sells for $120.00.

They look like this...but not always, depending on the poster and the source location

Thanks for pointing this out. Shouldn't have to work so hard to prove a simple point, but thank you. Appreciated.

I don't think anyone was being accusatory, in my view at least
My take was people were confused to how we got the price discounted to below $100 and I was just sharing my methodology.
NBD.
I think a lot can get lost in deciphering one's intent through text rather than actually speaking with each other.
Life's way too short to sweat the small stuff.
So let's break out the peace pipe, fire up the funky music and get back to sharin' in the groove!

Good lord I never said you couldnt get it that low with coupons and store discounts and business discounts or VIP discounts or coins or whatever the hell we use to get it there I just said it would never be posted for $75 before any of that. Or at least that’s what I meant.

I would like to apologize to everyone for seemingly starting the momentary derailment of this thread.

Edit: And the OP to what freewheelin was responding to asked what he can expect to pay BEFORE platform discounts and codes. That’s all I was pointing out.

Just tried doing some tip rolling with the ISN H60, and how foolish can I be?! My set is optimized with the AZLA Crystal tips and the XINHS K15 cable. Synergy personified from sonics to color match. This is a brutally good set, still top 3 even with these monster sets I've gotten in recently. It's still BOSS level.

via Cayin N3 Ultra (Modern Tube mode, M gain, Slow roll off filter, untethered).

Zacc Harris Group - Chasing Shadows (2024).

Yep. What cobrabucket said, and now I get your comment. You were saying it can't be had for $75 without coupons or codes. Correct. That would have been nice to be stated at the start, and I would have corrected MYSELF. But as far as I'm concerned, we're cool. Not offended. Let's rock? Shall we?

Once again...the ISN H60 is one of the best mid-fi IEMs on the market, and can hang with most big bois in and around it's price bracket and beyond.

I can't be bothered to take any photos tonight, so I'm going to use Linsoul's pic for now, but I finally got the Adonis New in, and I'm still settling in with them. If I'm honest, my initial impressions aren't overly positive but somewhat middle of the road if I'm honest. I got these for a killer price, $96 after the Black Friday discount + LEC $50 coupon.

I guess I was setting myself up for failure here. Going by the graph, I was expecting these things to have near bass-head level bass... but I can't say that they do. Every graph I see has around 12-14 dB of sub-bass lift but I don't hear it. It might be the 5-8k lift balancing it out, making my brain focus on that part of the sound a bit more. Who knows.

So, they're not the bass-head set I was hoping for, bummer. They are pretty balanced with a warmer sound. Nothing has stood out to me yet besides the gorgeous shells and decent cable.

I'm going to continue the tip rolling and source rolling journey and maybe these might click, but I'm thinking they might be a catch and release for me.

@cobrabucket Ok, I need this Tycho album, seems like it’s got more bangers than the earlier albums but damn some of these songs need to be longer, the progression gets good toward the end of them and I wanna hear more lol.

Edit: Actually, now that I just have the album playing in the background, the flow kinda just works.

I think it's the smaller size DD which is making it so that, yes, it does technically have a bigger graphed bass but it isn't quite thumpy or as deep.

It's definitely a bit bassier than the Explorer, keeps that warmer sound, but I've also kind of settled that it's not quite as basshead as I'd anticipated either. They're like an Explorer alternative. Not in a bad way at all but I wouldn't blame you for the catch and release.

Sorry if I bamboozled you with hyping them and being excited for them. I don't think they're bad but graphs don't tell the full story in this case at all.

I did slap them on the Muse M5 Ultra which gave a bit more note weight and helped. Responds well to sources rolling so give it a try.

Full priced, I would probably be disappointed. With the LEC and holiday sale, I'm content. But may be a giveaway item and loaned out for others to try
