I dunno, man. I see those and I can’t help but think of those cheap “mid-century” microwaves at Walmart and Best Buy.
Not for me.
Agree. That is a hideous-looking IEM.
Thanks bro! How many returns does it take for Amazon to get on my ass cuz I just bought three pairs of shoes to find the best one lol.
Only three pairs? You're a long way from a nastygram, especially if you space out upcoming purchases.
Here's my attitude toward Amazon, and you can call it selfish if you want: F*ck 'em. If they're going to offer such a liberal return policy, I'm going to take full advantage of it. I'm paying $140 year for Prime, and a loose return policy is one of the rewards.
It's not my problem if Amazon takes my returned items and resells them as new. That's an Amazon problem.
Plus, Amazon runs the equivalent of sweatshops with its warehouses in the U.S. They treat their workers like dogsh*t and don't pay them that well.
So, again: F*ck 'em. Bezos has plenty of money. Five or six returns per year from me simply because I don't like an item aren't going to slice his net worth or Amazon's profitability. And again, I'm paying an annual Prime fee for the privilege of this loose return policy.
I've been on a massive jazz, funk, and reggae kick the last 6 months, but last night, I listened to a couple classic rock classics, and realized how much I missed it, so after this album is finished, I'll be turning my attention full-time to my metal, hard rock, and classic rock playlists for at least the next few months, so the jazz will take a definitive backseat at least until the beginning of 2025? I'll touch on a couple here and there, but almost exclusively from the aforementioned playlists. Ever get to the point where you need to change things up, because you've run a genre to the ground?
Oh, absolutely! It's one of the reasons, too, in this streaming era I have discovered so many new genres I enjoy. Just needed a change of pace from my steady diet of rock and classic rock, and that was tough with limited funds during the days when physical media was the only option.
I've discovered and now enjoy jazz, certain types of EDM, bluegrass, alt-country and Americana because I needed a break from rock.
Quick survey:
1. Multi-genred listeners (not to be confused with multi-gendered listeners), how do you usually choose what to listen to and,
2. how often do you end up changing the genre/artist/album you've chosen within the first couple songs?
1. My listening habits are very hard-wired (pardon the pun). I get the New Releases newsletter every Friday from the most excellent AllMusic.com and read the excerpts of reviews of new albums. I save all reviews of albums from bands I dig or bands/genres that interest me in a Chrome browser bookmark folder and then listen to them during the week. It's anywhere from five to 15 new albums per week, across many genres. I probably listen to anywhere between 250-400 new albums per year. If there's any time left over after that, I listen to old favorites -- usually albums but sometimes songs. Not much of a playlist guy.
2. Almost never. I'm old -- I'm an album guy. Usually listen to albums from coast to coast.
