This is why using the CB19 cable is so efficient. Also because you are not using the DAC and the AMP inside the DAP , and bypassing it when using the DCE with a powerbank. So you will also get more battery life out of the DAP with this setup. Cause the DAP may as well be a expensive music storage device when connected to the DCE.

Yes the Hidizs AP80 Pro X has a tiny 800mAH Battery 🔋 So way less battery than the HiBy R3 II

HiBy R3 II has 2000 mAH Battery 🔋

Yeah, the power efficiency of that Hiby plugged directly into the DCE is actually better than the DX170!! WHAAA?! Yeah, so I'm thinking if you don't want to huck that power bank around all the time, you should be able to get some major efficiency from your new R4 EV + DCE?!

I can't imagine deciding among all the IEMs some of you gentlemen need to choose between every day.

Honestly, regarding this hobby, I realize that I am not at all reasonable.
Clearly a human being does not need 100 IEMs to feel alive or to have a good listening experience.

In this thing, aspects that have nothing to do with music are mixed, for example a certain mania for collecting and fetishism (I like IEMs just as objects, regardless of how they sound).

Then, since you have them, you use them, and it is still a pleasant sport.

Thanks mate! Yh it's tough to find a tuning like the EA1000, the level of clarity and resolution is really exceptional. I am looking for same level of clarity & details without the extra brightness & upper-mids boost (shoutyness).
Timsok TS-316

They were released about the same time, and owners of both pretty much said the same thing, the Timsok was superior in those qualities, without the shout or sharpness.

Right. It's all of those things. SPOT ON.

I have just 2 years of XP but I see the same.

O yeah, like to have some M sized ones.

+1

1.a. I like to relax: Dark Ambient
1.b. I like to spin up: Rock or Metal
1.c. I like to have a focused listening: Classical _or_ searching for new music.
95% of the time.

2. Nearly never: I listen to full albums 99% of the time.
Basically, it's one set of tips for $15.00. They don't sell it 3 tips of S, M, L, but a box of each size for that price. PASS.

The updated top 5 IEMs for metal/hard rock (all sub-genres) :

For almost a year, the CCA Trio has ruled over all in my rotation when it comes to heavy metal playback. It's combination of qualities have simply been unmatched. Until now. The ISN H60, with it's bass presence, rumble but nimble mid bass, plus having a better efficiency, has assumed #1 status. It's fuller, thicker, yet cleaner and wider, and you don't have to turn it up as loud to get the same dynamics. So for now, the ISN H60 is metal BOSS. But, if you're into the metal music, you can't go wrong with any of these selections on the list, including the honorable mentions!! \m/ \m/

1. ISN H60
2. CCA Trio
3. Tri i3 mk III
4. HZSound Heart Mirror ZERO
5. Thieaudio Oracle mk III

honorable mentions : Tanchjim ZERO, KZ Vader B

I dunno, man. I see those and I can’t help but think of those cheap “mid-century” microwaves at Walmart and Best Buy.

Not for me.
Agree. That is a hideous-looking IEM.
Thanks bro! How many returns does it take for Amazon to get on my ass cuz I just bought three pairs of shoes to find the best one lol.
Only three pairs? You're a long way from a nastygram, especially if you space out upcoming purchases.

Here's my attitude toward Amazon, and you can call it selfish if you want: F*ck 'em. If they're going to offer such a liberal return policy, I'm going to take full advantage of it. I'm paying $140 year for Prime, and a loose return policy is one of the rewards.

It's not my problem if Amazon takes my returned items and resells them as new. That's an Amazon problem.

Plus, Amazon runs the equivalent of sweatshops with its warehouses in the U.S. They treat their workers like dogsh*t and don't pay them that well.

So, again: F*ck 'em. Bezos has plenty of money. Five or six returns per year from me simply because I don't like an item aren't going to slice his net worth or Amazon's profitability. And again, I'm paying an annual Prime fee for the privilege of this loose return policy.
I've been on a massive jazz, funk, and reggae kick the last 6 months, but last night, I listened to a couple classic rock classics, and realized how much I missed it, so after this album is finished, I'll be turning my attention full-time to my metal, hard rock, and classic rock playlists for at least the next few months, so the jazz will take a definitive backseat at least until the beginning of 2025? I'll touch on a couple here and there, but almost exclusively from the aforementioned playlists. Ever get to the point where you need to change things up, because you've run a genre to the ground?
Oh, absolutely! It's one of the reasons, too, in this streaming era I have discovered so many new genres I enjoy. Just needed a change of pace from my steady diet of rock and classic rock, and that was tough with limited funds during the days when physical media was the only option.

I've discovered and now enjoy jazz, certain types of EDM, bluegrass, alt-country and Americana because I needed a break from rock.
Quick survey:

1. Multi-genred listeners (not to be confused with multi-gendered listeners), how do you usually choose what to listen to and,

2. how often do you end up changing the genre/artist/album you've chosen within the first couple songs?
1. My listening habits are very hard-wired (pardon the pun). I get the New Releases newsletter every Friday from the most excellent AllMusic.com and read the excerpts of reviews of new albums. I save all reviews of albums from bands I dig or bands/genres that interest me in a Chrome browser bookmark folder and then listen to them during the week. It's anywhere from five to 15 new albums per week, across many genres. I probably listen to anywhere between 250-400 new albums per year. If there's any time left over after that, I listen to old favorites -- usually albums but sometimes songs. Not much of a playlist guy.

2. Almost never. I'm old -- I'm an album guy. Usually listen to albums from coast to coast.

Cheers mate, but I would rather get the Oracle MK III at that price range 😅

Since I see that you like the ISN Audio H60 so much, I ask you: have you had the opportunity to try the NEO 5?
No. Too bassy and not enough treble air and extension, as told by a couple cool discothreaders who warned me against it based on my preferences, when I was looking into that one and the Neo 3. The reason I jumped on the ISN H60 (thankfully!!) was because it was being impressed as a departure from the typical Penon/ISN house sound, and provided more balance and more extended treble, and yes, it delivered that and more. Neo 1 is a single DD that's tuned right up my alley, and the Fan 3 continued the tuning style reminiscent of the H60. Now maybe the Neo 7 or Neo 6 or whatever the iteration, if they do with the H60 balanced approach, will compel me to PTT?
